I simply don't have the discipline. One of my cousins and his wife has been vegan for ages, healthy as an ox, or a horse.

Can we please stop with the is-ought arguments though? Please? The environmental and human costs of meat production are not to be readily dismissed, either.

pesco-vegetarianism is for me!

give me all the legless animals you can find (accept crab they are awesome!)
so you eat ... snakes and aquatic animals? ... and worms/grubs? ... and legless emu's???[sub]I'll add more as I think of them[/sub]

OT: I eat meat. I like bacon and fish and chicken and steak (if it is cooked right!) and ham and lamb and ... turkey isn't bad as a flavour-sum addition (As in, I don't like it by itself, but mixed with veggies and other meats, it is a nice addition).

Well fuck me, I just got ninja'd!

I wouldn't be able to last as a vegetarian. My family fasts every year for Easter and we go a week without meat or dairy and oh my, it's not particularly enjoyable.

I love meat. I couldn't live without it. Fruits and vegetables are just so boring.

I'll become a vegetarian when animals stop being delicious. They only have themselves to blame.

vegan

I do like to joke around a bit with people, calling them savages etc. People tend to get defensive once I mention Im a vegan, funny how that works. I don't really have to do anything other than mention it to make them go all "get off your high horse!!"
love it

I don't eat meat for 11 years now and on rare occasions I miss it a bit, but not enough to stop being a vegetarian.

Nope. If I had to sustain myself on nothing but lettuce all my life, I'd shrivel up and die. Besides, I'm already fucking skinny enough. I need body girth!

Hahaha! You sir, are funny! So sometimes you go for a poll to the hospital to check if the people there eat meat or not?! C'mon, what you say doesn't make any sence and if I didn't know any better, I would be slightly offended by this.

Human bodies are designed for meat, thats why we have teeth designed to tearing and chewing meat, and digestive systems that can separate the protein out. Humans are supposed to eat meat.

MMMM i really fancy a burger now

No, you made no sense and he's right. We are omnivores. We NEED meat.
Glad to see you've also taken the time to explain why his stereotyping statement would make more sence than mine. But we are both a bit biased here so let's shake hands and say together: "Whatever, man." And leave it be.

We need the proteins in meat and some of the various minerals and acids. But we don't spontaneously combust if we are deficient. Yes, the body suffers, but a vitamin supplement and a balanced diet of different vegetables and you have adequate resources for your body. We don't need meat, we have Science.

I just do what Sam Neill tells me to do.

Except the dancing. I don't do that.

For those who say "we have teeth made for eating meat" etc, maybe you should consider that we also have an appendix, and the vestiges of a tail, neither of which we need. Just because its part of your body doesnt mean you need to use it.

As for the whole "animals are people too" argument, remember that "If a cow ever got the chance, he'd eat you and everyone you care about!" - Troy McClure.

As for me, Id rather cut off two of my own fingers than be a vegetarian.
