I'm not really afraid of death. I'm more afraid of what comes after it, do we cease to exsist in any form, is there an afterlife, or is it akin to sleeping, not knowing scares me.

I'd rather live and fulfill my dreams :p
I do fear a painful death, but death itself does not scare me.

However it's mainly because I do believe in both Heaven and Hell, so I'd be anticipating an afterlife. For me, death is simply the transition from one world to the next.

Besides, there's no loss for me here, either I believe in a power greater than myself and I have an afterlife, (hopefully a good one :D) or I'm wrong, and I just end up dead like every other person. Just in a never ending darkness, most likely not even aware.

While some people believe it's like going to sleep, I believe it's like waking up. :)

I'm not scared of death as much as I'm scared of growing old, I just hate the idea that other people will make decisions concerning my life for me.

Mildly scared, it is a rather daunting prospect the great unknown. I would say however I actually find it more-so intriguing. I have a huge thirst for knowledge and Its one of those things that until it you experience it, it is impossible to know.

Death is kind of the end of fear from death.

shouldnt you be looking forward to it?

honestly i dont know. Yeah i dont realy want to die. But its inevitable and if were constantly afraid of something, why even bother living.
I mean to me, you know im living right now , i mean yess i do plan in the future, but i never know whats gonna happen so i guess fearing something that WILL definitley happen but you dont know how and when is actually the most pointless thing you could do.

Nah, I'm not afraid of dying. I believe in Christ and God and that I'll go to paradise when I pass. If I'm wrong, and I'm 100% confident that I'm not wrong, then I'll be less than nothing and it won't matter anyways.

However, I am afraid of surviving. Why? Surviving does not entail being able to walk, talk, think, function, or any of that good stuff. It doesn't mean that I'll be pain free or that my life will still be good. Surviving, to me, is the ultimate horror.

I'm Catholic and have no doubts of the existence of Heaven. Before my grandmother died, she said the proof that she was in Heaven would be a huge rainbow in the sky 3 days after she died. She died quietly the evening she said that. 3 days later, it was a completely perfect sunny day when a huge rainbow appeared in the sky for no reason. There was no rain for the past week, and yet right outside my bedroom window was a gigantic, beautiful rainbow. I got all the reassurance I need that Heaven exists.

Not afraid of death. Afraid of the repercussions my death will have on my loved ones. Afraid of going away too soon. But the fact that I will die eventually - does not scare me.

Important to understand... in the end, the fact that you as a living and breathing organism once existed and then ceased to live, makes no difference to the world as a whole. Maybe on some people. Maybe on a lot of people - depending how you've lived and how you've died.

But in the grand scheme of things... our deaths would be immensely irrelevant.

I believe in God, so no, but I certainty wouldn't welcome it at this age, I still have to much to do / experience

But if I die, Hello Heaven!

And what if heaven isn't real I hear you say? Well, I'll be dead. If heaven isn't real I wont be experiencing anything after death, it's not like I will be conscious to regret anything so..
But if you believe in heaven then you must also believe in hell . Wouldn't it be a shame to think all this time you will enter the pearly gates and get refused access?
Yes well, I'm not exactly raping, stealing and murdering my way through life.
To get into heaven you need to do good deeds right? Everything I work towards is to get into heaven, it's the whole reason I even try at school, and whole reason why I want to get into med school. Do good things, get into heaven. Simple.

Not afraid now, but I do sometimes get afraid of the concept.

I do believe in Catholicism so hopefully god will accept me into heaven, if not Purgatory at least.

What happens if I chose the wrong religion? what happens if its nothing? What happens if I'm just forced to look through my corpses eye sockets for the rest of eternity? What happens if I just cut to black screen forever?

I don't know man, but it keeps me up at night.

not so much, i'm a teenager, so i believe that I am bulletproof. Also, I dont think that i'm going to kick the bucket too soon, so I feel fairly comfortable with my own mortalitly.

Nothingness sounds pretty relaxing. Only thing is, I want to experience more somethingness before then.

To be honest, I always imagined it to be something of an infinite paradox.
You know how you supposedly see your life flash before your eyes? Well, pretty much that, except you RELIVE your life infinitely (because once you get up to the point where you die, it happens all over again).

Either that, or (the one I'm kind of hoping for) Heaven. I've been an astute follower of God (though not by many conventional means) since I was born, and I'm not gonna stop now.
