yes.

i do try and explain myself to people sometimes, but a lot of things i have to keep to myself, and so i am isolated.

no-one would really get it even if i explained it to them.
I used to think this until I realised I was wrong and being angsty (not saying you're being angsty, just describing myself) and when I began to open up to people my life really became a LOT better. I still hold things back like most people, but (can't believe im about to say this) you really do have to just be yourself and you will find people who you get on great with. Just maybe have to measure how much of yourself you put out there

I don't mean in the sense that you haven't seen your mates in a couple days I mean in the sense of are you lonely?

Do you feel like you don't have anyone you can turn to like family or friends? Or don't have anyone close to you who you can just go see and enjoy yourself with? Or do you not mind be alone a lot? Or some other explicable reason?

Wondering because for some reason I sometimes I feel alone. I don't know why because I have great group of friends and family, etc. But I can sometimes find myself telling myself I am alone and I dunno why. Ever experienced sometihng like this, and what do you do to cope? Or are you actually alone? Do you care?

... Incidentally, how many of you prefer to watch tv/movies, listen to music, play games alone? (not related to poll just answer in a post)
I am alone, I feel alone. It's horrible and i've felt this way for well over a year.

I used to live in London with my Dad, then I moved in with my Mum just outside of London. 3 years ago I moved to Cardiff to live with my Fiancée, she left me just over a year ago.

Now i'm stuck in Cardiff, I can't go back to my dads house, there's no room. My mum has bought a new house, 2 bedrooms, because it's just her and my sister now, so I can't go back.

I have no friends because I left everything behind and it was just me and my Fiancée, all I have is my job and the people who I work with.

Yeah, sucks.

sounds like you need to get yourself a girl my friend.Trust me,it's hard work sometimes but when you get it,it's wonderful
Weirdly enough, I got drunk at a party on Friday and managed to blurt out all my feelings to her whilst sitting on her knee (for some reason I was on her knee, i dunno), anyway I did all this after she hugged me a lot and pecked me on the lips.. and while her boyfriend was right next to us.. he didn't seem to mind or even notice though, which was anice alternative to getting beaten up.
get in there!

But watch out in case the boyfriend gets pissed because i my self have burst a guys nose because he tried to take my girl.

It felt good
Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if that came next but now all I have to do is tell her that it wasn't all some drunken slur, which I plan to do tomorrow.

I am always alone, I always have been, and I always will be. I came into this world alone, and I will leave it alone.

I have friends, but I just moved.

I feel pretty alone right now. Just moved into university accommodation and i'm with a load of people who i don't know, there like strangers. Sure, i've talked to them, but it's mainly just small talk, and asked a few of the 2nd year students for bits of advise now and again.

I'm not used to having any length of time without being with freinds, guess i'll have to wait longer before i actually make some freinds here.

Yes, sadly. I feel very isolated, all I have are my co-workers over here, which I have next to nothing in common with. I'm working for a better future though, wanting to move to another country and all.

No. At the moment I am actually craving alone time.
But in the end we are all alone. Not saying there's anything wrong with that though.

oh, it isn't that. i'd be happy to open up to people about a few of those things, but there are some real issues behind it.

the problem is that although i would be ok with talking about it here, where i have a level of anonymity, if i tried talking about it in real life people would try to stop me doing things that i have all planned out.

for example, i don't plan on living to be older then 40. here, people seem mostly accepting of that (at least where i have mentioned it before), but if you tried to tell someone that in real life then they would be utterly horrified.

Probably my life has had no significant progress in three years, tried to clean myself up and start living better familys always been really supportive, sister.. I can tolarate. But friends grew distant or got caught up in problems some never leanred when to stop after school and are basicly just another bunch of addicted loosers now, one had a kid at 16 my best mate jsut started hanging out in different circles. Love life Hahahahahahaha. hahahah. ahah.. ah yeeeah :/

To people around me well I tend to either click with a person or not I rarley ever change how I feel about people unless they really prove I was wrong about them.

Weirdly enough, I think life ends at 40. I tihnk ocne you're older than that there's basially nothing else you can do that you couldnt do before when it was better.

I even brought that up with some of my mates and some either or agreed or disagreed, was fun to talk about though heh but I see what you mean about the rest

I prefer being alone because I'm the only one who understands me enough.
Even I don't understand myself fully, but somebody else couldn't hope to.
I help myself with my problems, I don't need anyone other than me.
Heh I agree with you but I have 1 close friend who knows most of stuff there is to know about me and getting a second opinion on problems even if you dont act on it helps. Asides from my other more casual friends =)
