Not really. House spiders are cool, they're big but they don't bother you. I will admit to teasing other people about it. A friend of mine is absolutely terrified of spiders, so when we were outside having a drink one day I thought it would be funny to pick up the one that happened to be running across the table and ask her to say hello to it. She wasn't amused. I was

My professor of "Exotic animals" class tried to cure me of my arachnophobia one day, so he put mexican tarantula on my head. I was scared stiff for a few moments but it was just sitting there so i picked it up and put down very carefully. I even had a poisonous (but not aggressive) crusader spider on my palm in one of these classes but i'm still a little scared of spiders.
Can't stand the things myself, I know for a fact there's one that lives behind my computer desk.
My brother has tried 3 times to catch it and take it outside but it has evaided capture every time.
Currently trying to make a deal with it: You stay away from me and eat all the flies you want and I won't panic and get my brother to kill you.

Oh, I was afraid of them very much back in the my youngster days. So much so that I've constructed anti-spider mini-flamethrower, just to fell safe when I was stayin' at my grandma house (place is crawling with those bastards). I didn't really use it that much until I was 14 or 15 and had a MAJOR infestation of spiders one summer. Throughout the entire week I burned hundreds upon hundreds of them. At first every single encounter was a nightmare, but then I slowly realised that they're more afraid of me than I am of them. Especially when THE FIRE IS ON :]
