Where's the "No, because the dicks didn't make a PC version" option? Otherwise, yes, I'd be getting it.

The day i heard this had been picked up again was one of the best ever so: Yes yes and a thousand times yes. Pre-ordered and paid for
Double fine along with bioware are two companies who i feel make consistantly good games. (for Doublefine i'm obviously basing this on the staff's previous seperate experiences)

Brutal Legend is coming out this week and I for one am really excited after playing the demo. It's made by Tim Schafer so I don't see how it could possibly be bad. So who else is excited (or dismayed) about this game's release? What are your thoughts on the glimpses we've been given so far? Will the multiplayer totally suck? Discuss.
I played the Demo, twice. I want to like it, I really want to like it. It's one of the only games to actually make me laugh out loud. But the combat, the combat ffs! It's so terrible =( It put me off it, so no, i won't be buying this game.
How is the combat terrible? Seems just fine to me.
Tell me, how does 8 hours (hopefully it lasts that long) of doing the same attacks over and over going to be fun? Plus there's the Prince of Persia style "throw the girl at the bad guys" attack, which isn't great.

I plan on getting this and possibly the GOTY fallout Tues, the demo was fun and funny and really how can you not like a game the features a bevy of rock gods from when music was worth listening to and not the homogenized bullshit it is today

No, but only because I don't own any next-gen systems (I couldn't even tell you which one it's coming out for).

15 hours of a GTA-esque Heavy Metal inspired open world, with over 50 varying missions within it, not counting all the sidequests that is.. You get a Battle Axe, a Magic Flying V, and a Hot Rod, all customizable to make gameplay more interesting thanks to the Motorforge run by Ozzy Osbourne's character, and a few other legends of heavy metal play characters in the game as well; such as Rob Halford, Lita Ford, and Lemmy Kilmeister. The "Throw girl at shit thing" is only with Ophelia. Each friendly NPC/Animal in the single player has a unique Double Team attack Like forming a mosh pit with headbangers, or throwing a demon porcupine at the "Hairbangers" shall we say.
And the multiplayer/certain missions in single player have full on RTS-ish wars. while you only control Eddie's Faction, Ironheade, in single player, you have access to two other factions in multiplayer. Drowning Doom, the Emo/Gothic faction that uses their music to make the other team weaker, and Tainted Coil, the S&M demons you fight in the single player. And all Factions have a dozen or so Troops/Solos to use strategically to take down your opponents stage with up to 4 teams versus 4 over Xbox live and PSN. This is just scratching the surface as well. Do some bloody research about the game before criticizing it.

Edit: I also forgot to mention the open world will be 64km/40 miles large.

Someone give this man a medal.

All the reasons to purchase the game are right there folks.

I'll be getting it as soon as possible. Whether that means getting it when I have enough dough to spare, waiting for a price drop/pre-own or getting it as a present is yet to be seen.
But I want to get it because it looks FUN. You know, setting reality aside for a moment and immersing yourself in a creative and enjoyable environment. That and the 70's/80's Metal aesthetic. Lightnig, skeletons, muscle cars, shiny demons and mullets? Awesome. I played through the demo with my brother, and we both had a great rofl session with it.
Okay sure, it may not have everlasting appeal or be particularly challenging, but I'd much rather invest in an easy but fun experience than a challenging but labouring one.

*In an acceptance speech tone of voice.*Thank you, thank you, and thank you. Although I am 14 years old, and will only get this game for Christmas unless I get lucky, I can safely say I have pwned and teabagged kruxxor and his arguement like the high pitched noob he would picture me as. So it is with great honor that I accept this imaginary "Internet Medal of Win"

Edit: I now hand in this award, for I was a total douchebag in this post, but my argument against kruxxor still stands.

Maybe they want to see if the game is initially successful and they might port it later.

I'll be getting it but im deliberating on waiting for the price to drop or just grabbing it on release date, would help kill the time until dragon age is out atleast and it does look good. Tim Shaffer's art direction is always awsome, but his gameplay is always lacking so its worth mulling over.

Though the metal side of me is telling me to stop being a pussy and sacrifice my family to Shaffer.

I don;t like metal... (or Jack Black). Therefor, no. I suppose the game might still be fun but a lack of caring for the themes or the characters seems inevitable and would put a big black stain on the game for me. I like Tim Schaffer *sadface*.
