Well, my brother is buying it and I'm going to play the single-player when he's not on. So...no?

every halo since the first has made me doubt that anyone at Bungie has a clue on how to make a sequel
i mean, playing as the Arbiter was a completely stupid idea
that would be like playing as a combine in half life
a story filled with plot holes, then Halo 3 came along to drill a few thousand more
then leaving a cliffhanger at the end, only to then make prequels?
just makes no damn sense
Why would playing as combine be dumb? That might be pretty cool actually.
No worries Reach is a Prequel
Sorry but what does that have to do with what I said to the other guy ? Are you saying prequels are bad or good?

I've played all of the Halos, found them to be fun, and will buy Reach when BlazBlue starts causing me to bash my head into a wall.
Blazblue already made me almost throw my controller through my TV screen. Fucking Unlimited Hazama.

Where's the "I'm only buying Reach for the improved Forge" Option? haha I'll get reach eventually, and I have Halo 1,2,3 and ODST. Not wars though. I'm not THAT big a halo junkie.
I think not owning halo wars makes yo more of a fan, I'm the biggest halo geek I know and I don't own it for that very reason it's not bungie made and it sucks and if it wasn't a these things it would also be an rts which makes no sense for halo. You don't just change things like that not in one game, it's the forgotten bastard-child.
Hold on there. If you're as big of a halo geek as you say, then you would know that Halo was originally developed as an RTS, then it was changed to a third person action/shooter. Only after MS bought Bungie did Halo become a first person shooter.

It makes *SOME* sense that there would be an RTS, but I agree it would have had to have been done by Bungie to really be a true blood brother to the FPS series.

I've owned every Halo game ever made.

Halo 2 was my first video game, and I'm damn well sticking with the series. CoD fanboys can go crawl up their own butts and die.

(I apologize to anyone who likes CoD. CoD4 was one of the best games I've ever played, but what with MW2 being what it is, I just don't respect the series any more.)

I own and have beaten Halos 1, 2, and 3, finding the later two to be extremely overrated in terms of single player. However, I think Reach looks like an excellent finish for Bungie and Halo with dignity and class. Still, it's a rent at most (unless I see some mega deal a long way down the road). I don't pay for Live anymore because I would never use it enough to justify the cost anyways, so it would feel like half a game. I'm sure it will be at least good, but not that good with the single player alone.

Yeah I'm getting to that point... good thing I still have one of the older, unbreakable TVs.

Yep, It's already paid for and I'm going to the midnight release. All the Halo bashing in the world won't get me to change my mind or regret my decision. I have enjoyed all the Halo games, and after playing the beta I'm sure I will enjoy this one as well.

I'm going to move into my new student house on 13th of September and with my housemates go down to the midnight release and then spend the entire night and day bossing through the campaign.
So Yes

Not yet, but when it goes down a bit so I can still by it new for less than $50, sure.

I own Halo 2 and 3.

Most people I know agree that Halo's overrated. That being said, Reach interests me more than it's predecessors. I'll probably end up renting it to test the waters.

I've only played Halo 3 but I really enjoyed it. I got into online like three or four weeks ago to. And I didn't start playing it just because Reach is coming out. I didn't even care about Reach until recently. I can't wait for it.

Maybe, I only ever played the multiplayer in the series. But from what I have seen Reach looks really fun.

Halo 1--My first xbox game, spent countless hours playing it. Both sequels were improvements on the already addictingly fun multiplayer (although I enjoyed the story less with each installment). Halo 3's forge mode and ODST's Firefight are probably the most fun I've had in 360 exclusive games. The series has been a blast so far, so yeah...I'll be getting Reach.
