Valentines Day. Not really sure it matters, seeing how we aren't actually going out. More just friends who may have awkwardly enjoyed a kiss together a week ago.

S.A.D
Im a lazy, cynical prick of a 14 year old
I'll be celebrating S.A.D for the rest of my life
Shut it emo boy, life is too precious for that kind of bullshit, because I was like that at your age but now I've found life, I've found happiness. It's just time which you must need to pass away your little greed.
Emo? Pshh, far from it. I'm not popular (I.E: I don't play sports, I play more video games than C.O.D, and I like anime) Thats why i'm cynical, because i've been shunned by literally everyone in school all my life. Not that i'm some wussy emo. Also, I don't have a fringe.

It's a monday and I work from 0800 to 1800. That's really all I can say about it.

Single Awareness day? Are you serious? I could understand an AIDS Awareness day or a Darfur Awareness day, sure. But since when is being single something noteworthy, something bad or something more people should be made aware of?

Good for you mate! Now stop whining.
I was the person who appreaciated literature. I was the strange weirdo who smelled.
But then I went to a different place and I tried to think for just a moment, what if...what if I can be something much more? What if I can pop out? What if I just say fuck you to the commune and do something wonderful?
I did and now I'm happy.
That's my tip to you kiddo.
Be your self.

I've never heard of Single Awareness Day... but we don't celebrate Valentine's in my house, 'cos it's my sister's birthday. She doesn't like people sending cards to each other and not her, 'cos it's HER SPECIAL DAY, IT'S HERS!!!
So neither.

I have a girlfriend, but we don't care about Valentines day. It's just a crappy money squeezing scam anyway, people should learn to appreciate their partners on a daily basis.

No, I don't observe anything. My self and my g/f are both very loving and we feel we do not need one day to prove it. We show it all year round.

I celebrate neither, single awareness day was invented to counter valentine.
Since i do not have a gf etc i am not celebrating valentine.
Since i do not care about being single i am not celebrating S.A.D.

What i am doing tomorrow is probably buying myself some ben&jerry's chocolate icecream and just celebrate being happy the way i am(or trying to drown my sorrow with icecream :) )

Neither. I don't see a particular reason why there needs to be a holiday devoted to either doing something sweet for your partner or being proud to be single or whatever this Singles Awareness Day is. Any day of the year is perfectly fine for either of those, and actually better. At least on those days you aren't societally obligated to do so.
You know I once heard that the average guy (with no quantifiers to this status determination given, such as income or what not) spends almost $400 on valentine's?
That's all well and good...if stupid...but I would really love to meet these "average guys" and ask them if they'd do something like that every single year if they weren't "supposed" to do it. I know people occasionally splurge and do something really sweet and pricey for their mates, but I highly doubt they'd do it every single year if they didn't have to. And I sure as hell wouldn't blame them for it, either. Not to mention that it makes those times so much more special when they do happen.

I didn't know there was such a thing as Single Awareness Day.
I won't be celebrating either of them though, I will however be celebrating Monday like I always do, because I don't have any college classes until 2 o clock, so I can afford to stay up late.

I never do anything, it just doesn't bother me. My mum, on the other hand, has been taking it upon herself to make me and all my brothers special lunches for tomorrow, and has been doing so every Valentine's Day for the past 3 or 4 years. Believe me, I don't ask for it.

Of course I will be celebrating Valentine's Day, it makes my wife happy so why not? Oh yeah, my daughter was also born on Valentine's Day so we get double celebration. Hell yeah!

It is one of my days off from college. That means homework and video games in no particular order. I don't bother with things like Valentine's Day.
