You still can fight other Big Daddys, I believe, and the Big Sister, for sure.

Don't make assumptions until it's released.
Being the thing you try to destroy takes fun out of it. Would you play a shooter where you play as a terrorist? (other than counter strike) plus, no plasmids!
You do get plasmids as the Big Daddy. Christ, if you don't even know that then you are in no place to complain about the game.

To me it's all an indiana jones tradgety. They could have done a great story, but they didn't. I dont know yet, but I'm alredy dissapointed :(
Hold on, have you played the game? I assume you must have if you already know they didn't do a great story.
This too.

Oh dear, it looks like somebody jumped on the defence platform a bit too soon doesn't it?

Did I, at any stage make any comments on the individual developers? No.

I believe what I said was (in summary): Multiplayer doesn't suit Bioshock in my opinion; the story of Bioshock is done. I even explained the reasons why I believe it to be case.

I, unlike you it seems here, am fully aware of what I discuss before I voice opinions.
No, not really.

Nobody is forcing you to play the multiplayer so there is nothing to complain about. If it was made by the same team then you could because it would cut down time spent on the story. As it isn't you have no reason to *****.

I'm disappointed that there even is a Bioshock 2, I wish that the gaming industry would realise that just because a game sells well, it doesn't mean that it always has to be made into a franchise.
Bioshock was a great stand alone title and I can't see how they're going to do anything but ruin all that they built when they made Bioshock.
If Bioshock 2 doesn't look like it can lead on then I will agree when they make Bioshock 3. I think Bioshock 2 looks like they can pull it off. Especially after watching the 9 minute video:

On man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter and there have been plenty of games about freedom fighters, a few of them have actually been good.
Though I do agree that playing as a Big Daddy doesn't really appeal to me, I didn't really like that bit in the first game, I wouldn't want a whole game of it.

Oh come on guys.

The 3 endings for the first Bioshock are about as shocking, entertaining and complex as eating a Ham Sandwich. Enjoyable, but hardly revolutionary or nostalgic.

Besides, you became a Big Daddy at the end of the first game. That was the point of the final stage! Did I play a totally different game to the rest of you?

You didn't really become a Big Daddy. I don't mean it in the pedantic 'no bioengineering' way, but in the way that you still had your arms outside the suit and used normal guns. You also only took 25% less damage and could move like normal.

It was the worst part of the game IMO because when they said you'd be one I thought they meant properly.

Cube, what would you like to see Bioshock 2 be then?

You just couldn't do anything substantial set on Rapture in my mind, the best you could do would either be clearing out every last splicer, which is plain redundant, or set the game as the protagonists adventures when he leaves rapture, which wouldn't be a Bioshock game.

I was looking forward to the game, but the delay makes room for Modern Warfare 2 so it's a win-win situation to me.

To be honest, I wasn't that thrilled at the first one. It's a casual game Disguised as a hardcore game. Although I'd still give it an 8.5 out of 10.

Seriously, I got bored with it when I first got it. Played it for about a day. Took me forever to get back to it and finally beat it.

As for the second one, the bid daddy concept sounds pretty interesting.

I think it certainly opens news pathways for some cool gameplay en story mechanics. It would suck if you would play as the protagonist from the first one and revisit BioShock to defeat some kind of new "threat" that has risen.

i just don´t assume it´s going to be as good as the first one. at least the developers aim high, what now looks strange may be pretty awesome once you can play it. there´s just so little info on it still. fingers crossed it´s gonna be a good one this time(a sequel).

This sounds a bit like someone complaining after playing Halo 1, "I think Halo 2 is going to be boring beacuse you get to play as the Arbiter."
Actually, the bits of the game were you did play as the Arbiter where the most boring and uninteresting parts of the whole game. Both me as well as my friend were extremely happy when we heard that he would not be playable in the single player campaign in Halo 3.
Not interested in the storyline, eh? That really wasn't the point.
