I'm dead, the remains that are left are not me. I really don't care what happens with that body.
But if you'd ask (and hey, you did ) I'd go for cremation. Double points if the ashes get spread out somewhere nice.
Harvest my organs up, give them to someone who needs them, then just cremate the shit and be done with it. I'll be dead, what do I care. (I remember that Monkfish dude having a brilliantly gratuitous sardonic retort to emphasise the point of that bolded sentence in a similar thread, but it does seem to be the most common response of most people and a perfectly valid one too.)
I'll donate all of my body to science. But failing that, because criteria for that is quite tough to get past, I will get cremated.
I've never been a fan of being buried. I just don't like the whole decomposing corpse in hallowed ground thing... And lets face it, they are useless. They are nothing but a monument to ones past life. And because of the popularity of graveyards, there are billions of monuments to ones past life.
All i'm saying, is I find an urn infinitely more appealing than a grave.
Not to mention the vast amount of space a graveyard requires. And they are horrible breeding grounds for zombies.
Hell with that I want my ashes to be dumped in the trash bin. It be a cold day in hell when I pay 25 hundred dollars for a 2x.5 square meter spit of land.
I don't want to be carried around in an urn. I would also hate to be a cemetery. My personal preference would be in a rain forest with a massive waterfall nearby for some hikers to dig up and shit themselves.
cremated probably, after an awesome funeral party with open bar on me of course.
honestly, taking up more land on this earth after my body is gone just disgusts me. the ghost me will facepalm if someone buries my body taking up more land when i don't even matter anymore.
Voted cremation because that's what I wanted growing up.
Though I only recently found that you can have your body given to science study in universities where they essentially cremate the body once they're done playing with it. There is no funeral tied to this procedure and so it's simple and cheap...pretty much like my life.
I voted cremated since it is part of the process that I want to do. Basically I want my body turned in to at least one synthetic diamond. Which will be given to my wife if she is alive at the time or one of my daughters if my wife passes before me.
I went with buried because I think that's what my family would want, I personally don't give a damn what happens to my body once I'm dead, it's just a shell, not me. Throw it in the trash for all I care, my family can do whatever they want with it, it's up to them. First I'll probably donate whatever organs of mine are worth harvesting, might as well pass on these sweet ass organs.
