I love my DS Lite, so I was interested in the DSi but I wouldn't have bought it for myself. But the hardware upgrade and the new features sounded like they might inspire some fun games, and the downloadable DSiWare could be good. It was an easy decision for me, because my girlfriend wanted Animal Crossing, so I bought her that and a DSi for her birthday.

It seems Nintendo's success of the DS [lite] is leading to a failure of the DSi...
The Escapist forum is not a good indicator of the games industry at large. (If it was, Turbine would be billionaires. /snark) Google "DSi sales"

I still have a phat, I don't really have sufficient funds to buy a DSi, maybe if I got a job then save up my money, but I would almost rather just buy GTA and other good games and be happy with my DS. I also rarely play my DS except when driving for a long time, or going on a trip, and I would almost rather just reading.

No, the only things I need outside my house are my shoes, my pants, some shirt a pack of cigarettes and a handful of money. Why would I need a DSi?
Don't forget a lighter or else those cigarettes are pretty useless. but anyway, no i wont buy this $200 gimmick. i haven't owned a handheld since the GameBoy colour days.
