All the information that has been released officially and unofficially.(Game mechanics, plot points, multiplayer, characters, Previous Choices, Controversial News.)
Official, yes, unofficial news are just that.
The past experiences with the Companies involved.(Origin, , DA2, TOR, ME2)
As a 360 Gamer i don't care about Origin either way, neither do i about The Old Republic.
I didn't like the Demo of Dragon Age 2, but Dragon Age and Mass Effect are two different games.
The amount of extra marketing and cross promoting that has been done. (DLC in FIgurines, Day 1 DLC, Collectors Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition Differences)
I preordered the Collectors Edition, and i don't care about Figurine DLC and such...in fact i don't even care about the DLC included with the Collectors Edition.
For the past 5 years i actually never felt like that i missed out something significant out of a game by not buying DLC (with exceptions where the DLC amounts to something more akin to an Expansion, like the Fallout DLCs or the Episodes of GTA IV), nor did i felt that DLC that i got through preorders or Collectors Editions did significantly add to a game (for example, the additional mission from the DXHR CE was pretty much a waste of time).
The only ALMOST exception being the blatant in-game advertising of the Assassins Creed 2 DLC.
That said, I do inform myself usually beforehand about the game, including the potential DLC situation.
For Clarity's sake, this poll assumes everyone voting in it is aware that Risk means the game might not satisfy you.
Here's another surprise: You risk not being satisfied with EVERY PURCHASE THAT YOU MAKE EVER.
If you feel like you might not be satisfied with what Mass Effect 3 has to offer, don't buy it, and that's fine.
Jumping on a hate-train for an issue that, with 80% likeliness, will reveal itself as overblown by the time everything about the game is said and done however, not so much.
I was very satisfied with both ME1 and ME2, so i don't see a reason why i should worry so much about the third game. The blind purchase of ME3 is what is earned through this satisfaction.
Sure, i may end up being dissatisfied or even pissed at the final product, but if that is the case, it's my fault for not reading reviews or waiting for honest opinions from gamers.
It will NOT be my fault for not participating in the massive Anti-Hype that is currently going on.
