I'm not sure yet, but leaning quite heavily towards no. If any of the rumours about used games turn out to be true that'll probably seal me firmly in the no category. hat's not even because I won't support a platform that doesn't have used sales. I rarely sell my games so I'm not looking to get money, and I have used Steam since about a year after it came out and usually buy all of my games on it nowadays. The difference is that I do rely on Steam having sales, and otherwise lowering prices at a reasonable rate to get games that I want at a price I can afford. Used sales and price drops on less popular games are the only way for me to get that on consoles, and even then, I find a lot of stuff stays too expensive for too long. I also have absolutely no expectation that if console manufacturers remove used sales altogether that they will counter that with a pricing structure that makes sense, including reasonable price decreases after a reasonable amount of time.
There is absolutely no reason that any title released last fall should still be anywhere near $60, but whenever I go to Gamestop or another store I still see things like Skyrim or the latest COD selling at or near those prices. But rather than try to get the price conscious consumer to start buying their games new a few months down the road, they force us to look for used copies that are more reasonably priced. Which isn't always easy with Gamestop's pricing structure.
