For me, it's usually good. The angry, take no prisoners kind of good.

I find that I'll play as a good guy in a game where the choices matter and affect the world around you. For example, in a sandbox game, it doesn't really matter what you play. I'll drive my car on the sidewalk in GTA IV and run over dozens of pedestrians because next time I round that corner, they'll have respawned.

In a Bioware game, I'll be a champion of all that is good and aggressively ruthless towards the evil oppressors. I don't know if it's a question of my not being as 'liberated' as a Japanese person. I'm just content that games give me the option to play good or bad, especially if I'm in a crappy mood that day.

i play as i would be. i make choices on my whims at the time. problem with this sorta thing though is it genraly unballenced. in Neverwinter nights 2 for example the good choices yelded far better xp than the bad ones.

Usually I play through the game as the good guy and when I'm finished, I play it through again as the bad guy to see what I missed out on.

Most games seem to have more/better options for the good choices. I tend to play from a personal perspective, so mostly good choices. I keep meaning to play back some older games from an evil perspective. Curse you new game releases!

Good, but that's primarily because most games do an incredibly shitty job of making the Evil path as rewarding as the Good path. Give going evil more actual incentive other than acting like a dick and I'd take that path more.

Well, I pick all the good conversation options, but do all the bad stuff. What does that make me?
Cunning as a fox.

EDIT: This is meant to be a compliment (and a Blackadder reference).

(Just in case it translates over the interwebs as an insult).

I'm not sure why but i have the natural tendency to go down the 'bad/evil' path. I am quite surprised to see how many people actually are 'good'

I go completely random really. I could be good, could be evil, or both. It depends on the personality I wish to express in the character I am playing (like in Mass Effect or Dragon Age) or whatever the hell looks like it will be funnier at the time. Thing is, I always go back in another playthrough to test other options, so I really don't worry what happens first time in.

It depends; if the good option means that I act stupid or ignore common sense, then I go evil, otherwise I keep with the good path. Of course this is assuming that my random adventuring habit of attempting to pick up whatever I see around me counts as a neutral action.

I'll play it once as good and once as evil. Sometimes the evil morality choice makes you seem like socially awkward penguin or a whiney ***** rather than badass. They should fix that. If I was left to my own desicions rather than roleplaying something id come out as chaotic good.
