I haven't seen anything regarding Windows 8 or what it's supposed to look/perform like aside from the article saying the Notch thinks it's bad for indie devs which I didn't bother to read. I have no plans to upgrade though, mostly because a) I never upgrade to a new OS when it first comes out, I'd rather wait a bit until they get all, or at least most, of the bugs out first. And b) I can't bloody afford it right now.

I'm sticking with windows XP and I might have a dual boot with windows 7 on my next computer. Never EVER using 8 unless all windows computers without it die horribly at the same time. Even then I'd try linux.

I don't generally upgrade unless forced. I'm running Windows 7 only because I had to buy a new computer.

I'm really happy with Windows 7. That, and isn't it time for a bad OS?

Millennium was bad, XP was good, Vista was bad, 7 is good....

And yeah, it's designed for touch screens. Which I find to be annoying. I like buttons, and I dislike smudges on my screen.

No disrespect to your friends, but this pretty much proves that the average Mac user has no idea what the hell they're talking about.

Keeping WIN7, it's the best incarnation of the OS so far for me...and frankly, 8 looks like the new Vista.

From what I've seen in preview videos, Windows 8 looks like a decent tablet OS, but a nightmare as a desktop OS.

I'll stick with Windows 7 until ReactOS becomes suitable for everyday use.

Yes and no. I'm going to get another hard drive for my desktop eventually, so I'll just install 8 onto that and keep 7 on the primary hard drive.

I'm running XP on a 10-year old laptop right now. It works like a charm!

I rode out Vista and 7. I'll ride out 8 like a boss!

I not an enormous fan of Win 7 to be honest, I'll get it in a new computer but I won't go out of my way for it. But no, defiantly going to avoid Win 8.

I'm still using Vista BTW

"Upgrade" to Windows 8? Bahahahaha. That's hilarious. You're a funny guy.
Yeah, I think that's an oxymoron. Really, I suspect eventually I will move to Windows 8, but for the foreseeable future, Windows 7 is where it's at for me.

Now I complain about windows 7 being more for morons than XP was.
So no. I won't be.
Because I know slightly more about how to use a computer than a drooling moron and thus do not need to dumb down my PC.

Instead I will be investing in making my PC worthwhile as a gaming machine.

Assuming I can still revert it if it turns out to be terrible, I might make use of the cheap upgrade deal for my windows XP laptop, since XP is getting to be a little unstable on that computer, and XP isn't likely to be properly supported for much longer.

But... I'm not letting it near my windows 7 system until I'm damn sure it isn't a total mess.

Yeah, I'll definitely pay $75 for a buggy beta version of a crappy tablet OS that's used for desktops.
Just because tablets are popular, doesn't mean we all NEED to have tablet look-alikes everywhere we go! I personally don't own a tablet at all, and I'd like to keep it that way.
Remember when we had these things called laptops? They work pretty much like a desktop except you can carry it around. GENIUS!

I'll skip over 8 like I skipped over Vista if I can. That means I'll have to buy my desktop pretty soon, though.
