So this kind of goes off the "Your social life..." thread. It seems that everyone has different experiences. It got me thinking, are you happy with your social life?

Personally, I am currently in-between friends and it sucks.

Yep, it's fantastic. Solid base of friends at Uni, go out a lot, and I still have all my great old friends at home.

I don't like people, but I'm fond of individuals. I keep very few individuals close, avoid the rest, and am too used to it to have any desire to change it.

OP, how are you in-between friends? I've had the same best friend literally my whole life, and don't understand what you mean.

I'm happy with mine. I am pretty well known at my school and can easily fit in most places, so I have always felt welcomed.

Eeeeh...
My mind is a thing I haven't really managed to figure out, so I don't really know where I stand on this issue.

On one side, I am perfectly happy by myself, but then there's the part of me that wants to hang out with friends.
Same goes for girlfriends. I am completely okay by myself, but my instincts are telling me to get a girlfriend, but I know that the part of me that needs to be alone wouldn't handle being in a relationship. So I refuse to pursue a relationship, and since I'm purposefully ignoring my genetic imperative, my brain becomes pissed off with me, and makes me depressed and shit.

All in all, I'll say it's okay though.

It's ok, but I wish it were better. I also occasionally have suicidal thoughts, so I have no idea which of the three possibilities in your poll I should vote.

it could be better, but with gaming and homework, i couldn't be happier for now.

I want a better social life, and try my best to improve it. Though it takes a while, for a lot of reasons.

I'm mostly limited by my own lack of initiative (for actually going out to meet people or friends), the lack of people I can relate to, and my own laziness (or preoccupation with other endeavors). Although the real reason is probably a lot deeper within me.

I have very few friends. What little I do have I know via the internet, and even then I tend to hang back and avoid talking to them.
I am so fucking delighted with my social life I could shit rainbows.

Pretty awesome. The only thing lacking is womenfolk, but I'm not in too much of a hurry to find any...

My social life is virtually non-existent in real life, and that's just the way I want it. I'll go to great lengths to avoid interaction, to the point where I consider a potential conversation to be a threatening situation. In other words, not too fond of my fellow humans.

Internet interaction is fine however, in moderation of course.

I'm not so much as a shut-in as someone who really just can't talk to people. And it's -surprise!- the fear of rejection that doesn't help my inability to come up with things to talk about, which then gets me rejected anyway. I'm not creepy, I think I'm a nice person, hell, I even have a boyfriend who has no trouble making friends, but it's just that initial connection part I have trouble with. I'm the one people will talk to at work and make me feel like they enjoy my conversation and me as a person, then I hear the next day everyone went out for drinks while I was at home watching SVU. :/

Yeah, its not bad.

Well at the moment it is, but that's just because recently I've been revising for Uni exams at the end of January, which take priority. Then before that over the Xmas and New Year period I hardly saw anyone or went out because of being snowed in.

So recently it's sucked, but after exams that will all change. I'm going to Amsterdam for a mates 21st for a few days at the start of Febuary, which will be all kinds of drunken antics, stoned hilarity and epic banter, then after that I'm planning a kind of re-union night out with the people I lived with last year in Uni Accommadation.

Just gota get these fucken exams done with...

It's above average I'd say. I see my friends at school anyway but most weekends i'l do something on Saturday with my mates or maybe go to the shops or something with my mates.
