Yes I am human, but how does one measure the worth of a being, who's standards do we use to decide whether or not a person is worthy to be given the title? By my standards until the day I give my last breath of air I will be a human and nothing will change that. By my standards we're all in the same boat and there is no such thing as worth.

It seems to me that the person who has made this topic has a problem with those who answered "yes" or "no".

Why else would he question our motivations for answering the question like so?
I don't think he has a problem with any answer, he's just making sure we think on the question properly before answering and asking us to justify our answers, which I think is only fair considering the nature of the topic.
If you hadn't noticed: The topic maker already responded several hours before you.

Thank you come again.

Are you a grapefruit? Yes, no, maybe? I do not mean a physical grapefruit, this is open to interpretation. What makes you believe you are or are not a grapefruit? Are you juicy and full of citrus flavour? Or are you dry and tough.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that with the lack of any operational definition herein, basically your not asking a question. Your saying "lets shoot the shit", what will people say? This is fine, but by the very nature of forums, generally speaking we are just "shooting the shit" regardless. Perhaps actually think of a question instead of undefined and meaningless vagueness. Then you can actually guide the conversation somewhere interesting.

Because in realit, what is a human? A human is a developed animal which is able to take the balance around it and completely shatter it with just a psuh of a button. What is is human if not a machine of selfishness, willing only to give money to those in need when they are required? What is a human, if not me? What is a human if not you?

No i dont feel human, why, human is just another man made term. Humans like to put themselves onto a high throne of glory thinking there these great god chosen beings. Even though were just another species of the animal kingdom and were not at the highest point of the food chain. Just because we can construct buildings out of stone doesnt make us special. Beavers already do that out of wood. I bet you ... something.... that given enough time a dog could drive a car.

i digress i dont feel human because i dont want to feel human, ive taken a step back to see where we stand and i think ill stay back here with the "lower lifeforms" that know where they stand and have an understanding of the world around them.

I am Human because I have 1)self awareness, I think therefore I am. 2) I belive I am human because I have strong feelings on matters that DON'T concern me. That makes me aware of the world around me and therefore elevates me above the level of a animal. I also question all that is around me and I do not simply accept the existance of things. I am worthy of the life that is given to me because of those questions and the drive in me to change that which I beleive is wrong. The drive to help others. Prehaps that makes me unhuman? Is the first law of humanity that Man will be Selfish? Or is it that he will search for meaning? I geuss it depends who you ask whether or not the above reasons make me human. But I belive I am.
I value my life but not overly so. If I knew that I could devote it to a good cause and help others I probably would. I am as content with life as a minor can be. I resent not having a say and having my opinions disregarded due to "lack of experience" But I also am happy that the gifts of humanity have been given to me. Somedays I wake up and am so thankful for life. So this emotion and drive for betterment also makes me human. In short, yes I am human

Kingdom: Anamalia (respirates, eats, complex multi cellular, so on)
Phylum: Chordata (Yes I have a spine)
Class: Mammalia (Whilst not prominent, I do have some semblance of mammary glands, and hair)
Order: Primates (relatively large brain, upposable thumbs and other climbing adaptations, reliance on sight over smell)
Family: Hominidae (no tail, and I am on average larger than females of my species)
Genus: Homo (I'm not sure, I guess cuz I walk on 2 legs and accordingly have a specific skeletal structure to accomodate)
Species: Sapiens (Capable of abstract reasoning... also I'm not extinct)

More commonly referred to as Human.
So all in all pretty damn sure.

To be honest, I do not know.

In the view of a scientist and a doctor, I am a member of the human race, a species that had gradually evolved from a small single celled organism to a complex multi-celled organism that walks on two legs, stands upright, and is capable of complex thought.

In the view of a philosopher or a poet, I am nothing more than another carbon copy of the digital age. I think, act, speak, dress, and relate to others who share the same indirect connection provided and enforced by an invisible motherboard that is hardwired into our brains as we grow from childhood to adulthood. Nothing about me is unique in a way that each thought process hasn't been thought of or seen before. I have fallen into a daily routine that I do automatically without thinking about it. Therefore I am just another product of this chaotic world.

And that is my take on that. :]
I am sorry.
Do not grieve yourself my fellow adventurer. For it is within the next world that we will truly be unique.
