So... Lets say a portal to a second earth (Earth B) opened. Earth B has the same Geographical layout as Earth A. (Our Earth) except no humans. Other than this, nothing else is known.

Now, heres the tough part, which one would you live on. And this is open ended in terms of why.
Its up to you, you make up the reason for which Earth you live on. Go Crazy...

For example...
I would travel to world B because, there are monsters on Earth B that need slaying.
Or... I would stay on Earth A, as when everybody leaves, it would be easier to take over.

EDIT: Just to encourage this further, once you leave, you cannot return to Earth A.

EDIT 2: The area around the portal on Earth A, becomes unstable. Leading to earth quakes, fissures, toxic weather, and numerous other problems. The only way to stop this and save countless human lives is if a human passing through every 7 days. Would you do this?

Agreed. To live on the frontier; always a dream of mine.

I'd go to Earth B because it'd basically be the same as exploring a distant habitable planet, one of my childhood dreams.

I'm going to wait and see which one the majority of people choose, then live on the opposite one.

Earth B, definitely.

No dragons on the other side of the mountains here.

If by "humans" you mean "people"? No. No people means no art, no entertainment, no technology, no medicine, and isolation.

If you mean there are people who aren't humans, my answer would still be "no" because I'm human and I'd have desires that non-humans wouldn't be able to satisfy. I also wouldn't want to be treated as a second class citizen. If a non-human person arrived in a strange portal on earth, what do you think would happen to it.

Situation 1 is a strong "no." Situation 2 is "I've thought about it and no."

Edit: Oh, the portal's not just for me, but open to everyone on Earth? I might go, then - assuming situation 1.

So we're going to end up naming some fish that tunnels underground a "flying emu."

I would go to Earth B, if only to see Australia as the first settlers must've seen it. That would be awesome, but only if I took modern hunting gear and not too many people went through.

I wouldn't mind going with a group of people, with the idea to colonise the new planet. How could I pass that up, mystery will always appeal to me, and as long as people I know come as well it would be an adventure!

Or we could all starve to death or be eaten by dragons, but whatever this is idealism, not reality.

Is the trip one way, two way, or two way but hard to do?
