Sounds like parallel worlds to me. I don't know what I would do. But a portal doesn't open on its own. Someone had to open it.

I'd stay on Earth A because I need stores and electricity. However, I'd probably go get some investors and start a company to start development and exploration of Earth B. Hopefully with proper planning we can avoid many of the mistakes made on Earth A.
I'd then visit Earth B to oversee development, and might move there once development reached a certain point.

Earth B, definitely.

No dragons on the other side of the mountains here.
Ooooh and they could be made of raisin bread!

I don't know actually. It would be a toughy. One I have grown quite fond of technology and would miss most of it upon venturing into the unknown.

Earth A. Yeah, ya'll go wrangle some dragons and breed unicorns. I quite enjoy basic plumbing, electricity, and entertainment.

Both are relatively interesting, so I would have to leave it up to what my family would want to do.

I'd probably go there to hunt unicorns. Otherwise I'd stay out of it because that land grab will be World War 3, Or I guess 1 technically on Earth B.

I would want to travel to Earth B, but only if it weren't a portal, but a means of inter-stellar spaceship travel. I could make a living captaining a ferry-boat between the Earths.

Space travel has always been a dream of mine, which is why I'm doing my part to destroy the environment so that scientists will have to focus their efforts on spaceship technology.

10000000% Earth B. Not only is exploring an undiscovered new planet and living on the frontier pretty much my biggest dream ever, I just really really REALLY want to leave this forsaken hunk of rock and everyone I know on it. Yeap, B it is.

Earth B, because based on the other people in this thread, it would turn out to be kind of like oblivion (minus the magic) and I've always wanted to be a wandering mercenary.

Earth B. Find some cool aliens like the Krogan or sangheili, Vortigaunts or (god willing) Asari or even all of them and hang with the aliens and fight monsters... befriend a sangheili warrior and marry an Asari.

My life is messed up.

But seriously Earth B. no question, I am sick of old predictable Earth.

Can I go on a month long tip to Earth B then come back to Earth A? Because I want to go exploring and monster hunting, but there's electricty and plumbing and stuff here.

The thing is, people are disgusting, yet individuals are brilliant. I don't think I could leave behind the interesting individuals for a life on a planet on my own...

Step one:
Load up on supplies, weapons and ammo.

Step two:
Gather lots of friends (that also have supplies) and family, and head through the portal.
Note that it is important to be amongst the first to get there.

Step three:
Colonize, post heavily armed sentries at the portal.

Step four:
Build empire, make myself emperor for life.

Also, our capitol shall be named Rome, in honor of the glorious Roman empire!
