I'm excited for SC2 but since I'm out of town I'm going to be waiting till mid august to actually go and buy it.

I have my eye on it, despite my legendary inability to do well in RTS games, but I also have my eye on a larger hard drive and a new graphics card, so SCII will be waiting a bit.

I'm definitely on the fence. I never really liked the first that much and everyone else and their dead dog have played starcraft for the past 10 damn years. There's no way I could ever be of any use in multiplayer in the game. If it has a fucking awesome singleplayer component then I might pick it up, but I'm quite doubtful at this point...

I just hate the fact that I have to be online to play the singleplayer mode. I know that Blizzard is trying to curb piracy with this approach (even though they say that they're doing it to preserve the social experience in single player, which i give a rat's ass about) but I don't like the idea that if my internet goes down, I can no longer play.

Oh...nevermind. I don't have XBL so I wouldn't be able to play it anyways.

I would get it but my pc is an outdated piece of shit and my laptop uses the Intel GMA HD card which fails hard at playing games.

I'm not a very big RTS guy, but I am bewildered at how big deal people make about this game. Seriously, I bet the Koreans are all gonna die of euphoria triggered heart attacks when it reaches their shelves.

Well I finished it this morning. The ending, oh god the ending was so terrible.

The entire game was amazing, aside from the whole branching missions thing (goodbye canon). The gameplay was brilliant, the cutscenes were badass, but the ending, WHY?! Whatever happy-drugs Metzen has got himself on after WoW need to be ripped from his rose-colored hands and smashed with the hammer of consistency in fiction. Twists are one thing, but you don't just overturn a classic because it'll line your pockets. Metzen has no integrity as far as I'm concerned.
