probably not. I enjoyed the good old days of TGWTG. Suede, classic Benzaie, Lee is Still Gaming, Spoony.. I haven't liked many of the new talents they've been pushing for a year or so, and almost all my favorite contributor's have moved on. The Nostalgia Critic videos were basically the only thing i was consistently going back there for - the only other person on the site I enjoy watching now is Angry joe, and he posts his videos to Youtube, so I don't even really need to go back.

I feel like this video should be linked somewhere in this topic

He just plans to do new things; if you're a fan, you'll still have stuff to watch from him.

They still have Nostalgia Chick, Todd In The Shadows, Obscurus Lupa, and their love triangle.

I'm still going.

Haven't bothered with the other reviewers, but from what I've seen during the anniversary specials... they're not worth watching.

Nope.

I just don;t have any desire to watch any of the others.

Spoony's Counter Monkey series is great though, and if he was still on the site, I'd probably watch that on there.

I'll still go for JO, Oancitizen and Film Brain, among others.
My Wednesdays will just be a little less eventful.

As the person who just walked away from a burning wreckage of his crashed starfighter....why? WTF is going on ? *checks site* Oh, good for them I suppose.
I'll probably still pop in on occasion, just to see what's new. I'm was never really a regular visitor anyway.

The nostalga critic has been dead for a while to me, it just seemed he ran out of ideas for a while now, to the point that it just annoyed me to all hell. I haven't visited tgwtg for the nostalgia critic in along time. So yes im quite happy to see the character go.

The Nostalgia Critic has always been a giant mixed bag, and even the ones that were good had the horrible formulaic "one joke every 30 seconds even if it makes no sense in the context of the review" structure. Most contrbutors on TGWTG are like that.

Also, SCREAMING IN A HIGH-PITCHED VOICE EQUALS FUNNY...!!! Riiiiight?

NChick blows him right out of the water, and maybe now she'll get a larger podium for her own material.

CR is worth checking out, too.

I haven't been on the site for a long while, I watch all the channel awesome shows through blip.tv. They still get money at the end of the day and I just find it easier to use since I can save all my favourite shows to tell me when a new episode appears.

Only sites I use directly are the cinema snob and Spoony Experiment. But I am looking forward to seeing what new shows Doug has in mind. Also was glad to hear Ask That Guy With the Glasses is still going to be around as that always got a chuckle out of me.

Can't really tick any of the vote options.

I initially went there because of the NC, I don't really care about Spoony beyond that I enjoyed some of his stuff and some of his thoughts, and I can still do that on his own website.

but let's face it: The NC, like the Angry Video Game Nerd, is a character, an IP, and in the end they need to create something out of it that they themselves either enjoy no matter what or something that gets the bills paid. James Rolfe has stopped any and all AVGN activity a while back, and we, the consuming people, have either forgotten all about it, are happy with reruns or are in mental stasis expecting something great to happen anytime soon.

I don't think I like Doug as a person, but as an 'artist' and entrepreneur, I think he's worthwhile and I do believe that he and his folks really can - and should - dare to take it up a notch. Whether they succeed or not is, at this point in time, pretty much entirely up to them.

While I am more inclined to 'like' James, I must admit that he generally bores the pants off me when he's not doing the AVGN. So...

Haven't been going for about a year now.
I still check out Spoony's website for his videos and stuff, but I doubt I'll be visiting TGWTG any time soon.

Probably not since i find most of others reviewers really dull save for Cinema Snob and Angry Joe whose show is on youtube anyway.

They just don't have that energy and ingenious touches that critic had

To be honest, I think it's been easy to tell over the last few months that Doug Walker has been running out of steam with the Nostalgia Critic. I haven't watched one of his videos in a while, for the simple fact that, well, he stopped doing nostalgic movies. I'm sorry, but "Signs" and "Scooby-Doo" don't count as nostalgic movies.

I'll still watch Film Brain, Cinema Snob, and Todd in the Shadows, though. And I'd much rather it be either Lupa or Phelous retiring. Those two are just bad.

My favourite reviewer on the site is Todd anyway, so I'll keep watching their stuff that I'm interested in.

Well...truth be told, I am having trouble actually getting away from the site now that I've started checking out other shows[footnote]Ha! See what I did there?[/footnote]. There's plenty of good stuff to go around, even if it isn't stuff I agree with, and I've been hard pressed to find someone I won't watch at all, although The Cinema Snob is pretty much out. Not because he's not funny, but because I don't find his subject matter as interesting as other people on the site.

Mmmmaybe.

Actually kinda hard to say.

I like some Nostalgia Chick Videos, but due to her own style the videos can be very hit and miss (and maybe it's just me but some videos tend to be more about "Let's talk about something i learned in film school" rather than the actual movie)

I like some Oancitizen Reviews but some movies he talks about tend to be too "out there" for me (Although thanks to him i skipped seeing Sleeping Beauty, probably for the better)

I like Brad Jones but i don't really like the Cinema Snob

I am very thankful for Paw's "Music Movies" for introducing me to some great movies, but there are only so much good Movie Musicals and he is not funny enough on his own to entertain me.

And i like Projector and some Bad Movie Beatdowns, although i think Film Brain isn't that funny so i usually only enjoy his BMB videos of horrible rom-coms just because i get to see how horrible this genre has become.

...so yeah, in the end i guess it will be very dependent on whether or not there will be another webseries that really draws me in enough to regularly check TWTG.

That said, although i found the end of NC a bit aprupt (despite the Scooby Doo Reviews TNG reference and the veeeeeery heavy handed anniversary special), it's probably better not to go the AVGN route with it (aka milking the character until he becomes repetitive)...and for now, i'm looking forward to what the Walker Bros. will do next
