I am a cold hearted ***** in real life, online life, and video game life.

And proud of it.

Yeah I'm nice but I dunno about "too" nice, I mean I'm pretty respectful of others in a lobby, though if someone starts ripping on someone else I'm likely to laugh my ass off if it's funny. I even provide cover fire for teammates when they're moving in games like Duty 4, where nobody works like a team. I guess I'm just "nice" like that.

Not *too* nice but I do help a horde in trouble from time to time.

And if they attack, I just nuke him with all my crits on my DK :p

You traitor. I used to attack everything that had red letters above it's head no matter if I was 30 levels above it or below, join absolutely pointless (and absolutely hilarious) raids on local settelments, or follow Ally parties (I was a rogue) to fuck up their escort quest when they least expected it. That's total war, we didn't screw around on Lagtheridon.
Fucking up escort quests is the shit xD I once killed some druid which a night elf hunter was escorting. My screen flooded with '[Whatever her name was] makes a rude gesture at you', then she sat down, logged off and harrassed me on a horde character.

I used to play WoW and my policy was kill on sight, no matter what end of story. If an ally came up to help me, I would let them get aggro, get beat up a bit and once they killed the creep I would be all over their ass. Its PvP, sucks you didn't get me first but you shouldn't be on this server if you want to help people.

You should try it, its rather fun =)

its a freakin video game.

I dont know why you cant be nice to people. why is that being considered a push-over, instead of just a nice person?

like why is there a negative connotation to being a good person?
has the world really devolved into such a narcissistic society?
That's a scary thought. I get the feeling it already has, if Hollywood movies are any indication of our society.

Hell naw, I use to find joy in one-shotting lowbies, then have them get on their mains to try to kill me.

Yes it is a freakin video game. Why can't I be an asshole if I want to? It's not actually going to hurt anyone. (to the enemy not allies)

Specifically my WoW pvp habits ;
While playing on a PvP server, in PvP areas like battlegrounds, or lake wintergrasp, or while in a world PvP raid, i would kill anyone near my level, occasionally just anyone regardless of level. Outside of PvP areas, I wouldn't bother with PvP at all, UNLESS they are killing a mob I want to kill, or taking ore I want, or engage me first. Even if they are obviously in trouble, with mobs, I probably won't help them. I tend to do OK at pvp, just from studying it, but I am not passionate about it at all. It's a benefit to be able to kill someone who is taking what I want, but it's also a benefit to be able to go afk in more places in the game world without worrying about losses. There's a bit of thrill in danger, but overall I can't be made to care about consequence free PvP.

I have PvPed in Eve Online, WoW, Age of Conan, LOTRO, and Warhammer Online.
I have a more aggressive stance in Warhammer than the other games, because it's 100% intended to slay the other faction at all times - I would pursue any opportunity for a kill in that game. Conan and Eve are FFA type games, where there's no one you can assume is friendly, even your countrymen, but by the same token they are not automatically enemies. I tend to assume that a person is out to kill me, in these games, and practice a lot of avoidance techniques. Specifically in Eve the death consequences are so high that it can cause a lot of drama if you attack someone without warning. In WoW, because I am motivated to play by PvE concerns, I don't care to PvP much, especially since I never ran around PvP specced. Lotro is 100% pve outside of a specific area, but while there I would kill anything I was capable to kill.

The world always was this dark and negitive, it's just that until recently folks in holywood and TV wanted to pretend everything was happy.

It depends on the game. I try to remain amicable, but I don't generally show mercy. I suppose I act like a friendly enemy, even if that is an oxymoron...

It depends I suppose. I generally do not let up on someone unless it is so ridiculously one-sided I have to otherwise what's the point and in that case it is often creditted to my curiosity of how badly I can blame and still win. I did this to my step brother, convincing him that him trying to kill me once before I could kill him twenty five times in Halo 2 was fun. That is actually challenging.

Beyond that though, I'll toss around free items or gold if I really have no use for it.

Many times in a CoD5 Free for All match I'll see someone with a lightbulb on top of their head, meaning they are typing. I feel bad about killing people who can't defend themselves and move away from them.

This usually ends with being shot in the back.
