You should clarify the post or the question. The subject asks if I think I am channeling Yahtzee in my posts, but the poll question asks if I think others are channeling Yahtzee to a fault.

It's probably because we find that because his style of writing is much more noticeable and recognized, we see similarities between our own writing and his, and we pass it off as us copying him because he's more well known on the internet.

But, really, other than constantly quoting him whether it works in the conversation or not, the only time I really try to be Yahtzee is when I say "Funting".

Hm. I don't really think that is the case. It would be more accurate to say that Yahtzee attracts a crowd of people with similar attitudes. After all, "callipygian stallion" (to name just one example) is probably not going to be funny to people who do not have massive vocabularies and find a lot of humor in wordplay, puns and the like.
So, those people who do find it funny come here to watch Yahtzee's videos and end up staying because there are other people with similar tastes already here... and believe me, forums where arguments do not devolve into name-calling and playground insults are incredibly, INCREDIBLY rare.
Of course, I can understand how you might mistake correlation for causation, but unless the guy heavily quotes Yahtzee (which I really almost never see), I don't think you can say that someone is trying to be Yahtzee.

Allow me to make a parallel. I dont like Bob Marley, yet i respect him. He made music with heart. However when i see a high school drop out with massive dreads who idolizes Marley, i cant help but get mad at him for his lack of originality. When someone is doing something, and they are wearing a shirt that states as much, i feel they are trying to hard. Therefore, to come to a site where the most popular attraction is a vulgar fast talking British/Australian man, and then mimic his style, it just strikes as a little hollow.
Just because he hates fanboys does not mean hes unable to catch some on the cuff of his jeans while he strolls through the humor centers of our brains.
