OK, my thoughts, based on what I know of the show, which comes entirely from the OP, is that Arrow is a show containing:
a)writing
b)actors
c)music
and d) some fights.
It is also apparently like Batman, but not.
Yeah... doesn't exactly get me jazzed up to see the thing. Some sort of actual description might have helped. Still, you asked for raw feedback, and it doesn't get much more raw than that.
The show kind of has that early season 1 Person of Interest quality to it where it jumps between pretty cool and absolutely retarded at the drop of a hat. Though whereas Person of Interest got way way way way way better, this show is just sort of awkwardly existing.
So no, I'm not a fan. But at least it's better than Revolution.

While I'm not sure about the other actors, Laurence Fishburne and INCREDIBLE are synonymous.
I'm not into shows about smart cannibals, otherwise I'd check this out.
Okay, so having watched the entire season 1, yeah it kept my attention, but there's a lot of bad stuff.
-The entire cast generally had some good chemistry going on, excluding Laurel and Thea.
-The island flashbacks were interesting enough to keep things fresh when they really could have fucked up.
-The dialogue is surprisingly not awful most of the time. I didn't have high hopes after Oliver shot that computer hacking arrow or whatever the fuck.
-Most of the main cast are at least half decent actors.
-BARROWMAN!!!!!
-When the dialogue isn't half decent it's full awful.
-Felicity. Fuck me, Felicity.
-Most of the costumed fights all feel really floating, there's barely any impact to most of the punches.
-For fuck's sake Oliver wear a mask or something it's so obvious it's you.
-Also Oliver being The Hood. Or his actor. I dunno, just... he seems way too much like a "manufactured" hero, I think I'd like it more if Oliver's and Tommy's actors switched roles, make it a bit less standard.
So yeah.
I'll probably keep up with it, but if someone told me I could only watch one show ever again, it wouldn't be Arrow.
I was totally hooked for the whole season. I'm not sure what you mean about less than half decent dialogue. I thought Felicity was HAWT. If she's not your type, it's all good. She's a total geek, but her character makes for interesting tensions in the over all plot through season 1. Wow what was bad about her? Super interesting that you didn't like her!
I hear you about the fight scenes. I feel like they could be done even better in terms of the physical impact. I HATE shaky cam, screw Jason Borne. It's not about the gore, it's about feeling the punches/kicks - I totally hear you.
The "manufactured hero" thing seems appropriate. He's trying to bring the stranded island version of Oliver (Arrow) back into the place where he was the playboy son of a billionaire. It's kind of a weird thing. I also don't see Oliver as a "hero" in the traditional sense. He's human (no powers) and he's flawed. No way do I see Tommy's actor as Arrow. I won't spoil the end of season one if you haven't seen it...
In terms of Felicity, it was just a case of trying too hard to make her quirky and silly which in turn ruins any sort of entertainment and tension. Like the casino bit.
"I'm so glad you're inside me. I mean your voice in my head."
Just... no. Nobody talks like that. Ever. Not even in shitty comic books.
That and other stuff raises my issue with the bad dialogue thing. Felicity, Laurel's dad, Thea's drug plotline, the stuff with Helena, most of it was just really ham fisted and silly in most situations.
Maybe the manufactured thing makes sense, maybe it doesn't. Even having watched the entire series, Oliver's actor is just... boring. Standard. Seen people like him in roles like this before and I'd like to see someone who isn't a handsome bodybulder pretty-boy take the role instead.
The actor they cast for Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) made the character popular. She wasn't originally supposed to be as prominent. The fact that "nobody talks like that ever" is what makes her work if you can believe that. She's supposed to be quirky, and awkward.
I suppose I don't separate the dialogue from the tension. If you separated the dialogue from the over-arching story, none of it is remarkable. "You have failed this city..." Ok, that doesn't really sound like a great thing for a hero to say. But when you use that same line in a scene with his mother, or anyone else who is close to him, that line becomes more dramatic (for me). The tension in Oliver's relationships on and off of the island is what drove everything for me.
I just saw the PaleyFest interview with some of the main actors, writers and producers being interviewed by the CEO of DC Comics. They actually said that they hired Steven Amell (Oliver Queen) based on his skill. They didn't know about his build and all that at first. I totally hear what you mean though, because they focus on his body a TON over the first few episodes. I don't need any of that either. Even my wife thinks David Ramsey (Diggle) has a better body than Steve Amell (Oliver). He's not "all that", but he's believable.
