I still like games, but the last few weeks/months I talk more about games (only on ze interwebz though, I don't have gamer friends in real life) than I actually play them. I also spend more time in the sun than usual, reading my Discworld novels. But a few rounds of TF2 is still very enjoyable.

The meaning of life is a lie, kind of like cake. Ok I shouldn't have even tried with that one, I'm going to go and sit in the corner now.

Ever since I got my 360 and XBL I seem to be gaming more than ever the past year has been amazing for gaming I mean I got to play both gears, halo 3, SF4 and alot more I mean I used to play my ps2 to death and all my other old consoles but I think I've put more hours into my 360 than I have alot of my older consoles. I guess where I'm at the age you get away for playing video games to death (17 going 18). I can kinda sit back and think about all the classics I played like gunstar hero and smash tv etc and wonder why alot of new games don't seem to spark the same intrest maybe cause I'm older and look back at how those games I used to play and think I was the best as you didnt play with other people other than your friends and your family. Not random joe from America or 6-finger ace from Japan so over all I think games havent grabed my attension less, maybe you have to put your self out there to notice these thing or maybe I'm just wrapped in my own little bubble that things like swine flu dont really worry me as all I gotta do is insert that £1 coin into the machine to load up another 3 health points like in Time Crisis. (Essay much)

Don't leave until I tell you to.
Which will be never.
But, the corner is just *points* over there. I'm still here, just in a more over there kind of here. Plus there's no way in hell I'm staying at work. I want to go home. (in 3 more hours, ugh. 12 hour shifts, gotta love them.) My lovely wife and good food are there.

I play less, but only because I'm on The Escapist a lot. When I get off of the internet.. I go and play video games.

Stay in the goddamn corner or I'll nail you to the wall through your eye sockets.
My will be done.
Damn, was hoping it'd be the nipples instead. Oh well, can't win them all.

First of all, my eyes oh god my eyes! Maybe I do want you to nail me to the wall through my eye sockets. Secondly, Emo-Hawk, I swear I read your Bells badge as Balls and was about to make a brass-balls joke, but then I saw the folly of my ways and repented. Though I'm still pretty sure I'll be struck by lightning as I leave work today. That is if Max doesn't get to me first. *Shudder*

Er, derailing my own thread.

OT - Well I guess from the poll so far I'm not that much out of the norm. That's good to know. *Goes back to thinking about what perks he's going to take with his newbie evil Fallout 3 character*

-Edit Gah! I start typing and your avatar is one thing Max, I post and it changes. That's not fair, you can't do that to me.

I have to sadly admit that my gaming has lessened significantly in the last year or two. Trying to reinduce my passion for gaming, but most of the games I try to start playing these days only entertain me for a day or two :/

Though on the good side, the gaming I do has changed from mostly sitting alone at my computer to sitting on a couch with friends and large quantities of beer.

Honestly I think quitting WOW is the best thing I've done for a long time as I was noteably anti social during that period. However my gaming pattern now compared to before WOW is less during the day purely because I've graduated from uni and have a 9-5 job and during the evening it's about the same as now have to do things like feed myself and sleep where as before I had to do things like go out with friends to get drunk 5 nights a week and band practice.
i quit WoW for the same reason, only it didn't really make me anymore social. :/ i talk to the people i played WoW with more than my real friends from college now. people are definitely the most fun part.

i used to have an insatiable appetite for practically any console RPG, now i find i don't have the time to waste learning a whole bunch of complex gameplay systems that i'll never be able to use again. it's gotten to the point where i can't even play grandia anymore, and i loved grandia.

Well~ I'm only fifteen, so maybe this isn't really directed at me.
But what the hell, I'll answer.

I game a lot more than I used to. Mostly 'cause we got an Xbox 360 a year ago. I play video games whenever I can, though, so I think I fall under the second category.

It's not really that games are occupying my attention less, just that a lot of the games coming out are dissapointing me quite a bit. So much of the originality and creativity that older games had are lost with these new games.

I still love gaming, but I feel I've gotten way more casual with my gaming. I remember hearing when Metal Gear Solid 2 came out and almost jumping round the room (I was young, and didn't know it would be painfully short) yet now, when MGS4 came out, I was more like "Yeah looks cool, I'll see if I'll get it."

On the whole I think my attitude has changed, especially since when I see a game for 40 quid now I'm like "Oh I'll wait for the price to go down" instead of just begging to parents for money.

This, this, this, this, this.

It was pretty neat when game genres were new to me and the small differences between the games actually made a difference... but now the genres are pretty boring and tired.

It's taken a back seat to my life definitely, but that's only because I don't have the money to spend on games.

(Also the most recent games I've bought have disappointed me immensely)

So the back seat one, minus the nostalgia's sake part, I still play games for fun.

I'm in between the top and second ones. I game a lot, but I have a full time job, too.

Game just got verbed, cookie for reference.
Calvin and Hobbes? Where Calvin tells Hobbes "I like to verb words."?
Indeed.

Mm..There are plenty of nice games around too. Mostly from the last generation, sadly..
