CORRECTION: it isn't Assassin's Creed 3. Neither was Brotherhood. This is another side-sequelthat progresses the story but isn't its own further installment. People started saying this crap before Brotherhood came out too.

I would've preferred a new assassin, personally, but I like Ezio.

Provided he doesn't cross completely over into "crotchety old man" territory, like Brotherhood hinted at. As is, he's a really cool old guy.

I've heard rumors that the actual AC3 (not Revelations) might have a Russian protagonist in... well, Russia. That'd be pretty cool. Wouldn't mind feudal Japan, either.

I want to know where you heard this o_O
Mainly because I know the comic spin off "The Fall" was set in Russia and it looks awesome. Maybe that's what you were thinking of? If not.... cool. Very very cool.

Well... yes and no. I think I heard somewhere that AC3 was supposed to be the game-version of The Fall, because I remember thinking, "That seems like a bit of a waste."
Not to say it wouldn't be awesome. I haven't read The Fall, but if it's as well-put-together as the rest of the series up to this point and they made it a game, I'd definately buy it.

It might've been TV Tropes. In that case, it was from a wiki, and we all know just how reliable those can be (though TV Tropes is a little better about it).
