Meh, I couldn't care either way, what I'm interested in are the myths and legends surrounding it, kind of like ye olde Greek myths and stuff. It's cool to see how one culture (mainly Chinese I suppose, with the zodiac n' all) interprets different things.

I don't personally believe it, but hey, it's a nice random thing to know just in case :p I'm a "dog" in the Chinese Zodiac, and I fit the bill pretty easily for it.

I love the fact that there are people who buy into the completely vague "predictions" of astrology...."sometime in the next few weeks you may or may not meet a man/woman/shemale that might look at you in a way that you could find arousing.....your lucky numbers are 7, 13, and Blue.

i say it can predict some things, simply because if you toss enough crap at the wall some of it has got to stick.

for the most part it's bull tho. the funnier part about it is it doesn't even use the correct star patterns, it uses a fixed star pattern with no accounting for stellar drift

Not voting since my opinion isn't represented in the choices.

I think it doesn't have any real-world applications, but can be amusing.

The worst thing to come out of the Far East...
The Middle East, actually. Astrology in the West goes back to Babylonian times (5000 years ago - it's only because of the bloody Christian calendar that more than half of recorded history is now almost completely forgotten by the public - sorry, tangent), and it was widely practiced in the Muslim world during the Middle Ages.

And yeah, it's utter bullcrap.

If the gravitational pull of the stars at someone's birth affected their destiny, then the gravitational pull of the nurse (which would be much stronger because of the smaller distance) would have a greater effect, so fat doctors would deliver babies with different destinies than thin doctors

Why not predict events by how the where things are in the world as well not just space?

Ohhh! The Eiffel tower was being painted the day you were born, that means you are Romantic!

A gust swept through a valley, you like to eat cheese!

Your parents never bought a credit card, This means you will like to be a Doctor one day!!

Astronomy is completely arbitrary, No factual basis or science behind it, its because of soo many common events linked to common celestial events that occur.

People say things like, You have a Mars sign in your chart, your an energetic person sometimes..... Err Everyone is a little energetic SOMETIMES!! giving vague descriptions based on the relation of a Planet being in a certain area at a certain time has no basis or correlation to how you are or what your personality is.
