I've had my PS3 for about 5 years now and never had that problem.

I think it has only happened once... i've actually gotten more friend requests from people I don't know then spam.

None for me unless I play some FPS online. Sometimes a kid will ask to join him or someone inviting me to a tournament by a person I haven't even played, but that's the only spam I get. I know women/girls don't do this to me, they just either ***** at me during games or have fun but move on until one of us leaves. Sometimes it could end up with us becoming friends online but no spam by women/girls personally.

0. I almost never get spam messages from people on the PSN. I think one time once I got a message about joining a "L337 16th prestige lobby" or something... I can't remember.

Oh and I got ganked when I was level 5 in Dark Souls and the guy took the time to call me a noob and that I should get better..

I get mainly 10th prestiege crap only when i play call of duty. I have yet to recieve any chain or spam mail.....I've jinxed it haven't i?

I get one every few weeks, usually from some one asking me to join their clan. I ignore them though. just minor annoyances.

All of them have come from my friends, who either don't realize they're chain mails, or they're trying to bug me. None of the mails are real, and 60% of them have to do with a code, which has been copied over and over. Thankfully, I only get one of these mails every few weeks, so I just delete the mail and move on.

I have never got spam on my current email account.

Says a lot about you and your use of your address.

Since it's only "corporate" spam, such as Paypal, eBay, Atlus (whoever heads their marketing department is hilarious), and the Escapist, I'd say you're right.

Friends that spam me like that get deleted, simple as that. If it's a RL-person I know I'll tell them to stop bullshitting themselves by sending that stuff around and spamming me. If they don't stop, they'll be deleted as well.

I'm glad I never had to do this, though.
