I would rather have smart and less than average looking than pretty and dumb, but of the options of really stupid and drop dead gorgeous or dog ugly but smart, I pick neither.

Luckily, the person I'm involved with now is pretty and at least somewhat intelligent.

Personally, I'd go for attractive and dumb, because what I'm too stupid to know wouldn't bother me much.

I defs misread the poll, I thought it said "would you rather date someone who was attractive and dumb, or smart and ugly?". SO I voted attractive and dumb.

But in the case of ME, i'd prefer to be smart and ugly, other people have mentioned it: plastic surgery can do wonders these days, but I know of nothing that can make you smarter. Also, I myself am quite smart - not bragging, just a statement of fact - but i still get annoyed when i meet people capable of understanding or comprehending things i struggle with because they are even smarter than me. I would hate the idea of being not as smart as most people.

I think it works like this.

You see a pretty girl, you try getting close to her, you notice she's got good/bad personality and is smart/dumb.

You see an ugly girl, you run the other way.

Either that, or you know a girl (pretty or plain) and something of her personality and you realize you love that person's personality. This is the way my relationships have gone. Some have been legitimately stunning, others less so, but I didn't really put more or less effort into the relationship based on looks.

Course, if the person is burn-victim ugly, I might have a hard time getting it on. There are LIMITS people. Sh!t is COMPLICATED.

As long as the face is cute (eyes & smile), the rest of her appearance doesn't really matter.
Well a single boob would be somewhat of a disappointment tho, but thats something else.
But if there was but a single choice, i'd still go for ugly and smart, because if it would get that far i'd probably be in a post-apocalyptic situation and if i had the chance to breed out stupidity for a better humanity i'd gladly sacrifice the looks for it.
But in general: cute face = win & smart = win, if i find that combo with some extra weight or annoying inlaws its fine with me!

And plastic surgery is just another form a stupidity, instead of buying off your guilt, your insecurity or your low self-esteem, you should try to fix the cause of those problems instead of trying to fix the outcome. How you feel about yourself is reflected upon those arround you. The more you think & say you're ugly, the more people will say & see you are. Its about presenting yourself, i mean if you apply for a new job the last thing you'll want to do is telling your potential boss that your are Mr. or Mrs. McWeaksauce, right?
