So how do YOU like your bacon to be cooked? Do you like it crispy? Or chewy? Or any way? Have at it, fellow bacon-lovers!!!

Crispy.

If the fat is chewy then the bacon has failed.

I should be able to snap it.

Nothing worst than undercooked bacon, on buttered bread.

I hate butter with my bacon.

There must also be ketchup.

Chewy. If the bacon shatters when you try to put your fork through it, you're doing it wrong.

Unless it's candied bacon, in which case, do continue.

Brown sauce in moderation is also acceptable. Or combination with fried egg in a sandwich.

If you're using a fork to eat bacon you're doing it wrong.

I'm fine with either, although it depends on how crispy it is. I'll take chewy bacon over rock-hard bacon any day.

Oh, I realise that. The fork is a mere instrument; a test of the bacon's crispiness. A prelude to the main event, if you will.

Crispy all the way! How else am i supposed to break it in half evenly and put it on the bread before my sunny-side-up egg covers it and explodes with yellow goodness?

On a side note, if you were to leave out the food in that sentence it sound wrong...

I agree with everything here except the ketchup. Just eat it on it's own.

Eh....in trying to answer this I think I've just come to the conclusion that I just don't think I like bacon anymore.

I mean, I've always been pro-crispy. Chewy to me just means it's not fully cooked, which is gross.

But lately I've had a hard time eating more than a couple strips of even crispy bacon.

Bacon failure or crispy. For reals yo chew bacon = unrendered fat = less flavor and the texture of... well unrendered pork fat. It is a natter of taste but to the extent of do you like an abject failure or something done well.

Bacon, eggs with cheese and something spicy and bourbon. That is what men have for breakfast

I like bacon both ways, but if I had to choose, it would have to be crisp, but not burnt!

It's even better when you mix it in with the egg yoke, mmmm.......

Odd not mr English food man if you ask me all typical American ketchup is very sub-par, it is more sugar than tomatoes half the time. What doth thou have in your land?

But i have to wonder why any one would attempt to butter bacon, fat plus fat = nonsense most of the time

Oh lord, ketchup with bacon? I have so much to say about this, but I can't because I'm dry heaving.

OT: Crispy. I will never understand people who eat chewy bacon. The option for crispy is right there, why the hell would anyone take chewy?

Anyway, I think I'm going to eat some bacon tomorrow...
You're German, so it's understandable.

We'll elevate you, even if we have to drag you there.

Eh, I guess it depends. I like my bacon well-cooked... not burned.

(And personally, I don't mind having ketchup on bacon if it's part of a bacon burger... which I had tonight for dinner. Weird...)
