A little crunch is nice, but without the chewiness it's like eating chips made of pork.

I like my bacon very chewy, to the point where it is usually undercooked (or so my brother claims). I hate it when bacon is cooked to long. I feel that when it becomes even slightly crispy, it loses most of its flavor. My brother is the opposite. He cooks his bacon so long it looks and tastes like charcoal.

Dammit, I haven't had bacon in a long time. And now I'm hungry.

Yes bacon is pretty much the whole dish.
Even if that bacon is on a fancy plate and garnished with some tasteless plant, it still looks awful.

Ditto. This thread has brought me nought but misery :(

Chewy. If it gets too crispy, it just becomes the antithesis to the good that is bacon.

1000th post is about bacon. God, I'm awesome.

I eat turkey bacon because pork bacon has so much goddamn fat, so crunchy bacon it is. Tastes great.

in my circle of friends we call it "Evan bacon" or "Seth bacon"

Evan bacon is uncooked. Seth bacon is 12 seconds away from charcoal.

Chewy. It has more bacon flavor than when it's crunchy. Kind of entirely on the nasty side.

Usually when I cook it, it ends up looking like it does on the box, which I am immensely proud of.

Actually I find the bacon taste a bit bland...
But when I do have it I do prefer it chewy.
I'm not sure if I prefer gammon though.
