I suspect most US posters will state a preference for chewy & European for crunchy. Then again they sometimes do things oddly in the US by standards of Europe like refrigerating eggs (dangerously unhealthy as it promotes salmonella resistance to cooking), or pouring pudding sauces on bacon (never could understand the transatlantic obsession with sugar).

Pretty much split down the middle, but for me, it depends on what I am eating. For breakfast, chewy, on a sandwich, crunchy. However, in a porno it has to be chewy, you don't want rotting meat shards in you.

I like it cooked a little done, just as it comes off the griddle or what have you. It's still got some flexibility, but packs a mean *CRUNCH*

I like my bacon very chewy, to the point where it is usually undercooked (or so my brother claims). I hate it when bacon is cooked to long. I feel that when it becomes even slightly crispy, it loses most of its flavor. My brother is the opposite. He cooks his bacon so long it looks and tastes like charcoal.

Dammit, I haven't had bacon in a long time. And now I'm hungry.

Yes bacon is pretty much the whole dish.
Even if that bacon is on a fancy plate and garnished with some tasteless plant, it still looks awful.
The plants are only there as a pallet cleanser, to prepared you for more bacon. And they are thick slices, crispy on the outside and meaty on the inside. I'm getting the bacon cravings now..

It's just awful.
You don't like crunchy bacon....
How did you get on my friends list? o_O

Bacon must have more crunch than chew. Chew bacon=Nasty. If it is chewy bacon why even bother cooking it?

There's already a thread for this.

Learn to search bar
So should we post on that thread?

"Hmmm... I want to talk about bacon. Now I see a thread that was just recently posted but I think I'll search for an older one."
I'm guessing you're pretty new to this site.
I was talking to the thread creator. It's a general rule that you should re-post the same exact thread not even two weeks after the old one was posted.

Depends on the bacon, really.

If it's streaky bacon, then it has to be snappably-crispy.

If not streaky, then a little chewyness left is good.

But while bacon is all well and good, it pales in comparison to the ultimate of crispy meats. Lamb fat. Crispy lamb fat is second only to KFC skin as the greatest unhealthy thing ever!
