Versus threads are frowned apon, they'll usually end in flame wars.

And for real, I can't decide. They're different Genres of gaming and usually should not be compared.

If you liked Modern Warfare 2, you'll love Bad Company 2. And I mean love Bad Company 2.
Why? They're not even remotely the same save for being set in modern locations with modern guns.

Well its a decision between open world game play and a series of big set pieces, I have a friend that raves over Bad Company 2. Really it all comes down to what you like to play, open world or liner.

Just Cause 2 gets VERY VERY boring VERY VERY fast. It's really...annoying how big everything is. There is tons of area to explore, but very few good vehicles at the beginning...

Bad Company 2 no doubt.

Make up your own damn mind. it's pretty sad that you must resort to others to make a decision.

I love the MP with BC2, so I'd recommend it. It's so much better than MW2, in my opinion.

I haven't played Just Cause 2, mainly because it hasn't looked interesting enough.

Just buy Red Dead Redemption....everyone knows that's the best sandbox out right now, and it has competitive and co-op multiplayer. It's win/win/win.
Just isn't on PC lol
Really? I honestly did not know that. That really surprises me. The answer is simple.....BC2 or JC2? neither, you need a console.

I'm not saying they're the same. Bad Company 2 is like if Modern Warfare 2 didn't have mic spamming kids, campers, jerks, screwy spawn points, cheap weapons, and needed actual skill, teamwork, and strategy to win. If he liked Modern Warfare 2, Bad Company 2 would seem like heaven.

JC2 is one of those games you can fool around in for hours, however, focused determination to actually play the game will result in boredom fairly quickly as the missions, as bombastic as some of them are, do get repetitive.

BC2was one of those games that was frikkin' aces for a while and then I just clicked 'bored'.
Online is a blast and far more rewarding than some.

Or he'll rage quit because you actually have to know what you're doing to survive in BC2. MW2 is a game built for people bad at video games. I'm not saying he is, but let's face it, most MW2 players get their shit wrecked when they try to venture outside of that game.

You're actually right... I hate to talk about people who play Modern Warfare 2 like this because I know there are exceptions... but I play a lot of L4D2 and whenever someone comes in with the name that looks messed up because they're changing the colors in their names on Modern Warfare 2 I can almost guarantee that they're not going to listen to the team and end up rage quitting at some point.

Depends entirely on what you like to play. If you like playing team-based online games than I'd definitely recommend Bad Company 2, it's a great game. If you don't like playing online than I'd skip it and just get Just Cause 2, the story isn't very good (though I thought it was a brilliant satire of Modern Warfare 2's story, I'm not sure it was intentional by the writers) and the gameplay isn't significantly different from any other shooter
