Poll: Bannable Fetishes

The fundamental question I have (this time brought up by two separate threads I just finished reading) is this:

Is there a fetish so disturbing that you'd want to ban all forms of media which depicts it? Is there a paraphilia so unabashedly "wrong" that you're willing to play thought police to make sure it doesn't exist in any media anyone can make, distribute, or look at?

I don't mean things like "would you stop someone from abusing a child and posting the pictures", so we're assuming that no harm befalls anyone from the creation, distribution, or consumption of this material, except that it's just patently disgusting. Is virtual child pornography wrong enough that you'd want it completely gone, rape porn, snuff porn? Or is it "as long as no one gets hurt, whatever floats your boat"?

The existence of some fetishes can harm those it depicts or involves, see Rape. But many are acceptable... and fun...

But yes, I agree that as long and nobody gets hurt everything it just fine, provided that we take into account that more than just the description of the act can cause the hurt.

I've not seen most of the really weird stuff personally, but I have heard tell. But, how do you ban the things you find disturbing without opening the door to someone else banning things you like which he finds disturbing?

Who gets to be the final arbiter of "this is just too gross"?

I really don't see a problem as long as the individuals don't let it evolve into something deeper. If you're the type of guy who gets off on cartoon CP, I will still look down on you, but I really wont care unless you take it into the real world.

I'm forgiving when it comes to fetishes, because it's not like your really choose them yourself. You only choose how you handle it outside of your mind.
