I think the newly added 'I wasn't going to buy it anyway' option fits your description.
Much appreciated, though seems I'm in a minority.
You know what depresses me so much about BF3, is its lack of vision. It just seems to want to be a shiny BF2. I hate to say this but it looks like *Horror* Modern Warfare 3 is going to be a better game:
-hugely overhauled killstreak favouring assist type of players
-Very deep Perk options - almost true RPG like
-Actual server browser
-Steamworks
-More multiplayer game modes
-smaller but wider variety of maps
-Spec-ops mode looks like it has some good ideas
-and other crap like wider community engagement like youtube gun review, etc, etc
I know I feel like an utter philistine here, but that's just the way I see it. I'm not particularly crazy about MW3 but relative to BF3 it really is higher up there and I don't know how much of that is down to EA's snarky COD-baiting and beta-male posturing... but it certainly doesn't help.
But One thing I see with MW3 is a developer working under adversity, artificial adversity brought on by Activision (that I'm still quite mad about) but I have seen enough brilliance from adversity and failure from comfort to believe the former can bring good tidings. They really seem to be trying hard to make the best they can out of they hand they've got, and I have to admire that. Their focus is on the gameplay, the design, the balance. Yes.
Either way, I've kind of gone off modern shooters. Not that I want to go back to WWII. I want something more in the direction of steampunk or diseselpunk a la Bioshock or the upcoming Dishonored or even Prey 2 (more cyberpunk).
