PC, you get a lot more options. Even if you can't run it on high, you get the 64 player multiplayer, and larger maps (and potentially modding in the future). If you are really on the fence about it and dont care about any of the previously mentioned things, just play it on what your friends play it on.

PS dont listen to PC elitist saying the PC community is full of mature people. It does have a higher mature/immature ratio, but they make it sound too good.If you do ANYTHING somebody doesnt like on PC, there is a good chance somebody will make a big deal out of it. However, the console community isnt much better, so I wouldnt base your choice on community.

We're going to need more detailed specs than that. What kind of quad core CPU, for example.

At any rate, I think you're going to run it on at least Medium settings pretty well, and the PC will undoubtedly offer the superior Battlefield experience. Why? The console versions will have a 24 player limit, which is even lower than in Bad Company 2, and the PC will be optimized for 64 players with the option to play with 128 players.

So if you want a proper Battlefield, go for the PC version. Yes, despite Origin. It's really not that bad nowadays.
SmashLovesTitanQuest said:
Yeah, I know, I know, but you really dont want Origin on your PC.
*shrug* I ain't a fan of it either, but after the backlash they revised the EULA so that at the moment, it ain't that much worse as many other programs you probably already have on your computer. Just don't buy it digitally, as far as I know they can still dick you over with that.

Awesomeness BF3 on PC, or watered down Jet spawn camping game on Xbox 360? Need I say more?
Somehow I doubt that the console version will see jets. They'll have special, scaled down maps to be more balanced for 24 players after all.
Consoles have 32 players actually.

So, I pre-ordered BF3 for the console, since I normally play on the XBOX 360 and I have an 8 foot by 8 foot projector screen. But lately, I've been interested in the PC version. My computer has a quad core processor, 6GB of momory, 640GB on it's hard drive. The video is NVIDIA 9800GT.

That being said, if I do get BF3 on PC, I will have to wait 2 weeks to play it. But if I get it on console I can play it immediately. What should I do??
Try out the Beta that will come in the end of this month. That way you will see which version runs the best and what you personally like.

Hopefully Dice will include Caspian Border too so people can finally se the difference between a huge 64-player map to a downscaled 24-map.

How come you have to wait 2 weeks to get the PC-version?

Get your facts straight. 64 player on PC, 24 player player on console. Mod-support isn't confirmed but they haven't denied it either maybe we get lucky and get some months after launch like in Battlefield 2.

So what's with the complete fuckton of news that states that 24 is the maximum amount? Like this article [http://www.strategyinformer.com/news/13638/less-players-on-console-battlefield-3-no-evil-or-stupid-decision]?
""The biggest difference between the PC and console version of Battlefield 3 is that we have 64 players on PC and 24 players maximum on console," said Patrick Bach"

As for the Frostbite 2 engine, it's been stated already that it can handle up to 256 players, but DICE decided that 64 players was the sweetspot. However, if it's been tested with 128 and 256 players, no doubt that modders or hackers will find a way to enable that. On the PC at least.

I'm leaving for two months, but I'm bringing my xbox with me. So I can play it on xbox as soon as it comes out, but I will have to wait till I get back from my trip to play it on PC.

Didn't DICE say they weren't allowing mods? I'm pretty sure they did.

I'm just wondering why OP will have to wait 2 weeks longer to play on PC...

Shrug. I'm gonna be getting it on 360, because I don't want to have to close the game every time I want to join a new server.

Plus, there won't be hackers on the 360, and with almost every game on the PC comes at least a few thousand douchebags who hack.

Its 64 players.

Both versions have jets.

Modding is a MAAAYYYBE from dice. They said they are looking into it. They want to give us mods, because they know thats a large portion of the community that's interested, but they dont know if it's possible. They said they have a small team whose only function is to work with the engine, thats how complicated it is.

If your computer can run it get the PC version. You get the 64 player battles and keyboard and mouse support.

I would say 360 but I don't know if the Origin EULA thing or whatever it was called has changed to not look through my computer and see how I use my programs. If they changed that, get it for the PC. I am getting it for the 360 for now, and maybe in a year, buying a computer that can run it.
It was actually.

There is no question. Get it on PC.

Battlefield has yet to make a Console appearance without having completely laughable controls and connections. I very honestly doubt they are gonna start now.

Edit: I think it's worth mentioning that I am a purely console player. If you actually have the choice, I don't know why you would even think about getting it for the 360.

Another question that might help to seal the deal: Everyone gets beta access to the 360 version right? Just the MOH people get in early?

I believe seeing somewhere that consoles will not have Jets. They may have been revised, I believe it was in a game informer.

They did say no mods, but I'm sure there will be a way around that.
