VI was the single greatest FF game out of them, why would you leave it out of the poll?

If I had to pick one from THAT list though, I'd say VII or X, (I can't decide).

Also, I think you messed up your research, there is no Final Fantasy X-2, there is though, Final Fanservice X-2.. I don't recommend it.
lol i see what you did there.

I'd have to go with FF8 personally. I loved the seeD mission style, the musical score was extremely epic, and zell has arguably the best limit break/overdrive/whatever in any game.

out of all of them, ff7 was my favorite, but i believe that as a game, ff8 was superior in pretty much every way. especially in story terms, because mostly it was understandable to me when i was 10 or 11 (i can't remember, and i know i was too young). some parts of 7 still confuce the hell out of me

VIII is the best of the post-snes era. Hands down.

Even though VII did make me shed a tear (Aeris....)

Of the I-VI ones I'm liking IV the better, yet I still haven't played VI

Umm ff6 or 3 american whatever same game..best FF ever. Proving without a shadow of a doubt that interesting characters and storyline and not crazy summons and gfx make a FF game. All tho knights of the round was like.. okay you go kill everything, im gonna go heat up hotpocket and grab a mountain dew, hopefully youll be done by the time i get back.

Well contrary to what my screen name may suggest My favourite was FFVII as it was the first Final Fantasy I played (being only 4 when it predecessor was released) and had a fantastic story.
I then worked my way through all of the earlier games after having completed VIII and IX. I would say VI has to be the second best Final Fantasy in my opinion followed closely by FFIX.
Anyone who votes for FFX-2 or onwards (including the online spin-off XI and all the other FFVII etc spin-offs) can't really be that big a fan of Final Fantasy. It has definately gone severely down hill since FFX as they've tried to change the style too much and the story lines aren't as immersive ... I blame this partially on their loss of Hironobu Sakaguchi who was their main source of talent. Really the series has one change to redeem itself with FFXIII (which I don't hold too much hope for) otherwise I think they're going to lose a large chunk of their loyal fans (myself definately included).

Ive only played I,II,X and X-2 so I cant vote, but I can say that the ending to X made me cry and that X-2 wasnt their best creation.

My vote goes to Final Fantasy X, the only game that I've ever played where grinding is fun!
Also the others suck (except VIII, which at least has a good story).

My favorite Final Fantasies in no particular order:

-FF1 (the definitive RPG experience in my eyes)
-FF2 (Brilliant stat development system, only needed to be ironed out a little and it would be perfect)
-FF4 (The first truly epic FF story with some good relatable characters..and of coarse, Kain makes it all the better)
-FF6 (this and FF7 are the peak of the franchise with such astounding story, characters, and gameplay)
-FF7 (this was not my first FF game like many others, but still was an astounding game)
-FF9 (going back to FF's roots with charming characters and story)
-FF Tactics (broke out of the standard FF mold and delivered the same high quality of FF6 and 7 with one remarkable story)
-FF7: Crisis Core (It did well as both a prequel and a stand alone game that brought about a great action RPG experience)

I'm split between 10 and 12.

10 had a great battle system, a well concieved main character and boasts one of Final Fantasies best endings.

12 has an awesome and realistic world complete with nations, politics and religion, Final Fantasies best Villain, Balthier and one of my favorite soundtracks.

9 falls in right after this, on account of pure charm.

Is that supposed to be XII or VIII in the title? 'Cos IIX is nonsense.
that and IIX would, if it worked, be the equivalent of VIII, so that would give us either two or no options.

anyway, i have never played a final fantasy game and have no intention to. maybe i will play the newest one, but to me retro gaming seems kinda wierd to me. the first game system i really played a lot was gamecube, and before that i had a snes with like five games. so im not used to what 3d graphics pre 6th generation. i know i should be able to ignore this, especially because i think that graphics arent that important, but i thought that loz:eek:ot was kinda hard because i couldnt see anything in that game. and im getting way off topic.

Final Fantasy VI, shame there isn't any FFVI love in the poll questions.

They all suck.

Just kidding of course. My personal favorites would be VII, VIII, and IX. X was a decent Final Fantasy, but I never felt any particular draw to it. X-2 and XI were pieces of shit and should never be mentioned. XII was somewhat of a disappointment in the gameplay department, so I never finished it.

I also never got into the earlier ones either. I remember playing IV and V and thinking the characters were about as interesting as cardboard cutouts.

This poll is stupid, firstly, like many people have already said, IIX? What the hell, did you even read the title of the game?
Plus, where are all the NES/SNES ones? I prefer VI to IIX or VIII, which ever it is.
