Don't use the word "haters" for God sake, they're entitled to their opinion without retarded labelling.

Anyway, in my opinion as the series went on the quality of single player declined while the quality of multiplayer improved. So for me, Halo: Combat Evolved has the best campaign, and Halo 3 has the best multiplayer.

Halo: CE. Bungie managed to get everything right first time, so then they tinkered with the formula and spoiled it all.

Also, where's this poll then?

Halo 2 wins just for the insanely fun multiplayer in my opinion. Quite frankly, the single player campaigns in all the games were fun but none of them really "stood out" for me. I'm actually going through the campaign of Halo 1 again on my spare time. It's amazing how the game has stood up graphic-wise over time. Yes, it still looks old, but for a launch title of a last-gen game it's quite impressive.

Yeah I know, that post was actually done several months ago. I've evolved a bit since then, but seriously I would have thought it would go without saying but having watched a lot of other Halo threads crash and burn into total flame war because of one Joobnook breed of creature going on and shouting:
"HALO SUX AND IF U LIEK IT UR A FAG!"
I figured, at the time, make a thread for Halo fans to personally discuss of all the Halo' which is the best in a calm civil manner. I don't catergorise people, I respect the opinions of people who think differently and just don't like Halo because it's not their thing and they prefer other kinds of games... but to be fair those type of people don't barge into threads like this and just start angrily spamming the same hate message over and over and over again for something like three pages. They just dislike Halo and move on very peacefully and I let them do so.
So I classify 'haters' as the angry obnoxious ranters and I classify the others as 'non-fans' the non fans I can deal with fine, I respect their opinion and rights to it. But the 'haters' are better known as the trolls I have no respect for whatsoever.

Besides I didn't even want this thread to resurface, this was made months ago and somehow it came back. Hopefully it'll go away sooner or later.

P.S Call it retarded labelling if you want but I have been labelled 'fanboy' for a long time, indeed many people who like Halo have. Is that not also considerably unfair to label people who have opinions?

P.P.S I actually have to thank you for calling me out on that, I forgot how I used my language back then so I wnet back and edited the original post to, hopefully, be a lot nicer and more respecting.

Halo 2, because its the only one thats not overhyped (because every halo fan hates it for some reason) and im more into games no-one cares about.
halo 2 was hyped about as much as every other around launch time.

Halo 3 for me. CE was a little hard to follow and Halo 2 had 3 different weapons. And I liked Halo 3's shiney cinematics. I'm not a huge Halo fan anymore, but if I was forced to play one I'd choose 3.
i beg to differ. poorly explained plot (and a weak one in my opinion) plus a few loose threads at the end, least of all a cliffhanger ending after the credits.

Halo 2, purely for the multiplayer shenanigans. Plus, better multiplayer maps on the whole (Blood Gulch>>>Coagulation though).

Actually... that's a really good question. I remember the poll, I remember putting the options on it and I remember posting it with the poll and the options.. but now... nothing. The poll just vanished but the actual thread didn't. This is spooky.

Halo 2. I liked Halo CE because of its innovation, but Halo 2 was in my opinion, a lot better.
While its campaign wasn't the best, its multiplayer was much better... And Halo 3's multiplayer is starting to annoy me.

How odd, I take it that you didn't add the 'Poll:' bit of the title either? Perhaps a mod would be kind enough to add a poll for you.

While I'm here, am I the only person that prefered Halo:CE's multiplayer? Sure, Halo 2 had the advantage of Xbox Live but I missed the maps and general feel of the first. And what happened to the races in 2?! I loved the races. I definitely had more fun with the first game, 2's online novelty soon wore off.

Okay then, that's fair enough and yeah, I agree that there's an unfortunate influx of people spamming the same generic negative opinion.

Yeah, it's equally unfair to label someone who likes anything that's popular as a fanboy, I find any forced categorising to be retarded labelling really.

You're welcome, I really appreciate that you took the time to respond, which I wasn't really expecting.

Halo 2!!!!!!!!

Great campaign, most graphically appealing, fucking fantastic online experience, and of course it has the Halo feel.

Halo 3's only advantage was Forge, 4 player co-op, and theater. But it failed horribly in every other department.

how do you mean?

oh and theater pisses me off because you can't skip forward in a video and you can't record in campaign.

Halo 3 spills unicorn rainbow colors that hurt my eyes And what's with everyone faces? Halo: CE could use more polygons.

Halo 2 had a darker feel with a flushed out environment that just feels better suited for the game.

Positive?

Uhhhh, they tried to make a good game with Halo 3.

Uhhhhh, it made lot's of money because all the nine year olds begged their mothers for it.

Uhhhhh, I'm positive I don't like Halo 3 all that much.

That's all I could think of.
