Poll: Best Online FPS?

Where the hell is TF2? This is a disgrace to FPS polls everywhere.

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. I haven't played any other online FPS games. That much anyway. I tried playing CoD and BF:BC2 etc, but I could never get into them. Not like I could with ET.

Back in the olden days when there were more than 12 people online total TF2 was the shit (I unfortunatly have a 360 and an inferior PC). But becuase of the lack of people I have to vote for MW2 again excluding MW1 because of a lack of decent players.

Well infairness there is a lot not on it but anyway I digress. My favourite is between CoD4 and TF2 but I'll have to pick TF2 as I don't want to associate CoD4 with CoD:MW2.

also there is the nitpicking thing of GoW being a TPS. From what I have heard Bioshock 2's multiplayer is nothing to brag about.

I still believe Halo 3 is the best online game, despite me having Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 in my collection. It is strategic in game modes such as CTF and Sabotage, but it's also somethig you can just go in for a blast. Battlefield is plain strategy, which is awesome, and Modern Warfare 2 is a lot of fun also, but your fun when alive can be cut short EXTREMELY suddenly at times.

Hey guys, I was just wondering what FPS you would rather play online. My opinion is skewed more towards the 360 though because its all I game on but feel free to leave your favourite online FPS in the comments.

GoW aren't first person shooters, but anal criticism aside... MW2 is probably your best bet, I dislike it but then I don't enjoy most online FPSs.

Poll fail. You have separate sections for Halo 3 and ODST even though their competitive multiplayer is the same. Also, you have two options for COD, which are both MW titles, not even one MW and one WWII. And most importantly you don't mention Team Fortress which is one of the best online shooters evar! I personally play a lot of Halo but that's partly because a lot of my friends have it. I would play TF2 more if I had more friends
who played it and I didn't have the shitty 360 version that isn't a patch on the PC version (but still awesome).

There you go. Let's not forget "Project Reality", it's still updating and going strong. Mods are a nearly infinite source of all things awesome. If memory serves, Team Fortress was originally a mod...

Other than that, Counter Strike, any version. FPS games are, and have always been, best on the PC.

You might want to change it so Call of Duty and Halo are one option, then add Team Fortress and Counter-Strike!

I'm also shocked to not see BF2 or BF2142 on this list... Both are much better than Bad Company 2, even now.

Half Life 1 Deathmatch is missing, MAN that was fun.

Also the best will always be Alien Vs Predator the original. Most fun I've ever had with an fps, online or otherwise.

Battlefield 1942 was also extremely fun.
