Silver because of the ability to go back to Kanto as well. The only reason that I prefer Silver over gold is because I like Lugia better then Ho-Oh.

Of those in the poll: Silver/Gold
Overall: Yellow

Yellow was the best version of the original 3, you know, when Pokemon were still unique and interesting. Most of the second generation of Pokemon are completely and utterly retarded.

I liked Ruby the most. What's not to love? Brendan, May, Mudkip, and Latios. They are all awesome. My LEAST favorite would have to be Crystal. Damn Suicune.

Crystal. The gold/silver/crystal generation of pokemon games were the last truly good ones, and crystal was the best (suicune rules).

thats what she said.

OT: Silver was definately the best. Aeroblast>Sacred Fire

Also, being able to make an awesome team and go up to Mt. Silver and challenge "Red" after giong to the original reigon (second good point to be made) kicks the ASS of any other game out there.

There should have been a Gold/Silver option.
They're essentially the same game, you just have a different set list of Pokemon that you're able to catch.

And I think they were the best because you were able to go back to Kanto, and essentially replay Red and Blue, which was reallllly fun.

I loved Sapphire. I have yet to play a pokemon game that has in my opinion surpassed it. The perfect balance of game-play speed, strategy, and graphics.

I borrowed a friend's Gold version though, and that came pretty close.

Silver because you can go back to Kanto. Beating Red was the most accomplished I've ever felt in a Pokemon game. Plus I think Lugia was way better than Ho-oh.
