My favourite was actually Episode III - the lightsaber duels were best, and Hayden Christensen gets set on fire.

Empire Strikes Back, no contest. Easily the best.
Exactly, it also just had so many memorable scenes

Although I know one scene that should of been in it that sadly wasn't.

I actually loved Revenge of the Sith, but there seems to be so much hate for the newer trilogy :S

I felt that Phantom Menace was the conjunction point between the compelling action adventure feel of the original trilogy and the awesome CG and technological world of the prequel trilogy. Plus no angst.

Its The Empire Strikes Back for me. It's simply sublime, and probably one of my favourite films of all time.

However, both A New Hope and Return of the Jedi are very good films, and, to be perfectly honest, I didn't mind the prequel trilogy. I didn't enjoy it anywhere near as much as I enjoyed the originals, but I didn't hate them.

That is an amazing argument for liking Revenge of the Sith. Bravo.

Thirdly, Empire Strikes Back is the best.
Y'know, for a man named oblivious you can be very sensitive...

Anyway...

Agreed, Empire is the best. Mainly because it's the least cheesy and the least cheerful. If there's one thing people don't like in movies telling epic stories it's cheesy happiness, which the last three had in spades, even the 'dark' Episode 3.

Empire tells a story of everyone's world going to shit and it tells it well.

Return of the Jedi is my vote. I love the original trilogy, but Return of the Jedi is the first one I really remember watching, so it holds a soft spot in my heart for that reason. Don't get me wrong, if I were watching them today for the first time, Empire would reign supreme, but for being the movie that turned me into the giant nerd I am today, give me the Jedi all the way.

I'm not as oblivious in conversation. It's mostly when I'm out walking around etc. People will try and talk to me or give me weird looks and stuff and I'll be completely spaced out, lost in my own little world.

Return of the Jedi is my personal favorite. Forget the Ewoks, Jedi has...
- The Battle of Endor is the best Space Battle in the entire Saga
- The Sarlaac Pit Scene, the best Action Sequence in the entire Saga.
- The lightsaber duel between Luke and Vader is stunningly well done and so iconic.

Empire gets my vote for general win... but Return would be my vote due to sentimentality (it was a childhood favourite, but more because of the fairly standalone plot than the Ewoks. And I love Ewoks.)

Empire Strikes Back. Also know as, "When the Empire Raised It's Pimp Hand". Or, "Does the Empire Have to Force-Choke a *****?"

Indeed.

And may I paint a target on my back by saying that the sequels are among the worst movies ever made?

I'm I really the only one who preferred Return of the Jedi to the rest?

At least Kevin Smith agrees with me.

Don't forget that right before he gets set alight he gets both legs and an arm amputated in one fell swing of Obi-wan's lightsaber. Pwned! However, I would hardly say that scene redeems the utter tripe that is the rest of the prequel trilogy.
