Toss up between Jedi Knight and Battlefront, but i'll go with Jedi Knight in this case.

I really, really can't stand KOTOR.

Jedi Knight, since they always made feel like playing the game as a movie... Erh by that I mean the feeling and the details tickled me very pleasently in the nerdy lobes.

And they were solid and fun both single and multi.

Jedi outcast was great, best use of a lightsaber.

Rogue Squadron was really good, first flight simulator i engoyed, and a wide range of ships that kept in interesting.

I quite enjoyed pod racer, it was fast paced, and always intense, and you could easily ignore it for being star wars based, and simply a futuristic racer.

I haven't played any of the KOTOR games yet (Heresy!) but I have played Battlefront 1 and 2, and out of all Star Wars games I've played they're the best. It fleshes out a decent backstory linking the two trilogies together better than Revenge of the Sith did, and it's got fun gameplay with the sequel demonstrating that the developers at least listened to their customers and fanbase when developing number two. I just wish they'd kept some of the maps from the first game, like Bespin's Cloud City and that ice planet, or the fields of Naboo...

I'm a huge star wars fanatic and I have played plenty of the games, including both KOTORs and I would have to say hands down KOTOR 1 wins. It immerses you into the world better than any other game, because in most of the others you just fight in battles. The battlefront games are fun, but if you get me talking about the canon errors in battlefront 2 space battles I'll probably get so angry I have an aneurysm.

Kotor 2 had Kreia, who is arguably the most interesting character in the Star Wars mythos.

I would have to say LEGO, its a much easyer gaem to get into and I would have to say it gives the most joy for the effort put in.

I wanted to vote for KOTOR (the first one, specifically), but since I've been replaying X-Wing Alliance, I went ahead and voted for one of the best space sims I've ever played (besides WCIV).

I was saddened to hear Factor 5's closing down. I would have loved a next/current-gen Rogue Squadron.

I'm going for the 1st KoToR just on kick ass merit with the story, characters etc.
Followed closly by Battlefront 2 then everything else is a blur.

Jedi Knight series. It gives you the most options for how you want to play, it has many different weapons, three different types of lghtsaber comabt and a heap of force powers. The combat in it is infinitly better than other Star Wars games I have played as well. Kotor just had dungeons and dragons combat with a Star Wars skin.
and yet it worked. the fact that it used the D20 system basically meant that the developers didn't have to do much work in actually building the core, and could focus on the details. Which is really what made it great.

I actually liked KOTOR 2. I know it got a lot of bad press, mostly because it was unfinished. I actually quite liked the fact that there really was an excellent opportunity to explore the dark side, especially through the PC's relationship with Kreia. KOTOR 1 basically insisted that to be dark side, you had to be callous, stupid and just mean. In KOTOR 2 you were more sneaky, manipulative and cunning style of evil. Palpatine style evil rather than thug with a board with a nail in it evil.
I think you've basically nailed (Har!) my own sentiments concerning KOTOR 2. I liked the shift from "baby eater" evil to "scheming weasel" evil that was available in more cases. I'm not saying that it was never obvious which options in the dialogue were good/evil, but at least there were more gray areas. KOTOR was an epic story with a cool twist, but then the second game came around and things got a little dirtier and less clear. That lack of clarity made it more real for me. Yes, I know that Jedi with energy swords flipping around and shooting lightning are hardly realistic, but seeing the consequences played out a little more made it feel more real to me.

Trivun, my boy, you're missing out on two phenomenal games. I realize they've been hyped to hell and back here, and other places, but I think they take my Star Wars cake just ahead of the Battlefront series. I do love mowing through shmucks as a Droideka though.

TIE Fighter wins my vote since it was one of the first Star Wars games I ever played and has an exellent story seen from the Empires side during the time between Battle of Hoth and Battle of Endor.
KotOR (1 and 2) will probably be my number 2 closely followed by Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy (the last one for its multiplayer lightsaber duels... Hours of fun)

Jedi Knight games. The second one, especially, was fantastic. The combat and force powers, coupled with cool looking lightsaber battles, made the game a lot more involved than games like KOTOR, which, despite being a lot of fun, felt far too wooden and detached for my tastes. D20 games like KOTOR are great, but I feel like being a jedi requires much more action and involvement, which is exactly what Jedi Knight II gives you.
