I want to hurt you for including Twilight (Simply because it's a bad film overall. Though, not much you can do when making a film based on a bad book series).

Though, I would have to choose Dracula (Christopher Lee) as my favourite vampire movie.

Queen of the Damned is the best one I've seen...granted I haven't seen a great deal but that's the best one I've seen...that or the lost boys.

EPIC FAIL
You missed Underworld from your list.

I will never speak to you again.

Now go... Just go.
Underworld is a cheap White Wolf knock-off, although I will admit Kate Beckinsale is awesome and I love their Werewolves (mostly because they are copied verbatim from World of Darkness).

It's not a bad movie, but the options I chose (except for Twilight, obviously) are better movies (in my opinion).

Let the Right One In.

I can say no more. Just go watch it.
Same, not really a great list. As said what about Let the Right One In, Bram Stoker's Dracula (Francis Ford Coppola), 30 Days of Night, Thirst, Lost Boys?

Nosferatu!
Thirst has not been mentioned here...interesting.

Coppola Dracula is ruined by one of the worst acting performances of all time (Keanu). 30 Days of Night is a fun gore-fest but not what I would call 'best'. I'm surprised at how much love there is here for Let the Right One In, but that is a great movie. Lost Boys is too hilariously 80s for me to consider as a favorite.

I also didn't expect many people to seriously consider Nosferatu as their favorite. Granted its good, and most vampire Cinema and many vampire tropes are drawn from it - but is a silent movie almost 100 years old really the best, or is it just a convenient choice for film snobs?

I need to watch it again.

This is a joke, right? You're joking. I laughed a little bit. Queen of the Damned? I'm actually curious. Explain to me what makes Queen of the Damned anything but a hilariously bad cash-in with awful acting, silly effects, and an utter disrespect for the source material?

On a side-note, how gay are you? The whole movie was a love letter to a shirtless Stuart Towsend.

Blade an 30 days of night come to mind. Mainly because vampires work well as monsters and not as love stories...unless your a chick i guess.

Not that I would call it my favorite, I wouldn't, but I am surprised you left out Underworld (the first the second and prequel were meh... at best) from the list

Interview with the Vampire is the best 'classic' vampire flick.
I wanna say Blade too 'coz Blade is awesome and it's an awesomely fresh look at vampires. :D

According to this thread, here's how the poll should have looked:

? Interview With The Vampire
? Dracula (Christopher Lee)
? Dracula (Bela Lugosi)
? Dracula (Gary Oldman)
? Dracula: Dead and Loving it
? Nosferatu (1922)
? John Carpenter's Vampires
? From Dusk Til Dawn
? Let The Right One In
? Thirst
? Blade Trilogy
? Underworld Trilogy
? Daybreakers
? 30 Days of Night
? The Lost Boys
? Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman)
? Queen of the Damned
? Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
? Blood: The Last Vampire
? Hellsing (Anime Series)
? Vampire's Kiss
? The Twilight Saga
? The fact that you listed Twilight makes me want to hunt you down and hurt you

Anything less and I should be crucified! Also, I'm pretty sure even then the final option would get the most votes haha.

Seriously though, that would actually be a great poll. Too bad there are only 8 possible options on an Escapist poll (that I know of).
