Because I hate how people make idiotic remarks like "Twilight vampires aren't REAL vampires!" They're just as much vampires as any other fictional bloodsuckers. The only thing I actually like about the Twilight Saga is that it used the vampire mythos in a new and creative way to introduce it to a new audience. I'd prefer MORE experimentation in established genres, not less.
Would it be experimentational if vampires have glittering shit and ejaculate rainbows?

There is nothing experimentational about Twilight its just a vampire love story with vampires which glitter, you know putting things together doesnt always work.
Experimentation doesn't always work, but it broadens the audience and makes people think outside of established tropes - which I think is a good thing.

Experimentation is why we get movies like Blade (vampirism as a medical condition?), Daybreakers (vampires control the world and they're also demon bats?), and From Dusk Til Dawn (vampires are Mexican stripper demon monsters?).

Also people seem to forget that in the original Bram Stoker novel Dracula is perfectly capable of walking around in the sunlight, he's only weakened by it.

Twilight is Vampires that don't drink human blood as teenagers who glitter in the sun (rather than burn up) in an American High School setting. That's pretty far removed from any vampire story I've ever heard of.

Call out Twilight for reasons that it deserves - like bad acting, bad writing, bad script, bad dialogue, bad effects, and an underlying message to teenage girls that would have been offensive 40 years ago.
