I haven't seen many vampire movies but the one I enjoyed the most (which was a while ago) was the first Blade.

The second option from the bottom of the poll is a bit silly. Yes, there are a lot of people who hate Twilight everywhere but if you enjoy it, then ignore them, don't stab back at them.

I voted that I want to hurt you. I'd say 30 Days of Night or Interview with a Vampire. Day Breakers was also a good one. Bram Stoker's Dracula is pretty good but a bit too long.

Twilight? The fuck? How are sparkly diurnal adolescents vampires?

When I was younger, I really liked "Fright Night".

I think I've seen it a few dozen times.
Recently, I saw it again and it's still pretty good.

I heard that "Dark half" is good but I haven't seen it yet.

The fact that you included Twilight makes me want to hunt you down and hurt you
+ Not including Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103874/].

I'm picky on how I want my vampires to be >>. Doesn't mean I don't like the movies, but I dont like the "vampire" bit of the movies cause it doesn't feel right for me.

I'll go with Coppola's Dracula since that was perhaps the 1st vampire movie I ever saw (oldest one I remember anyway) and it shaped in some ways what I came to expect of vampires.

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust for me, thank you.

Dracula 2000 was pretty good, too.

My absolute favourite is The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Legend_of_the_7_Golden_Vampires].

It was a co production between Hammer Horror and the Shaw Brothers, and is a classic East meets West combination of Kung Fu, Vampires, Peter Cushing & Zombies.

Basically Dracula is resurrected by a Chinese Monk and travels to China to resurrect a Vampire cult. Luckily Van Helsing is there at the time, giving talks about Vampires and Dracula at a Chinese university, so he teams up with 7 Kung-Fu masters to defeat the evil hordes of Dracula, the 7 Golden Vampires and their Zombie thralls.
How on God's green Earth have I not heard of that?! I have to find this movie now.

I think it was just called Vampires. it was about a crew of vampire hunters who would stick vampires with barbed crossbow bolts then winch them out into the sunlight with their jeep.

I went for From Dusk Til Dawn because it's just hilarious.

Interview with the Vampire would get the silver.

The Lost Boys would get the bronze.

And I can't believe you didn't include Dracula 2000. :( Sad Panda.

Queen of the Damned, all others trump in comparison
Please tell me you don't mean that awful Stuart Townsend raping of the excellent Anne Rice book. That movie is easily worse than Twilight.
QFT.

OT: I've gotta go with Interview with the Vampire. Tom Cruise as Lestat was surprisingly amazing, as was Brad Pitt.

That, sir, is John Carpenter's Vampires and a movie that I thoroughly enjoy. I mean come on, James Woods as a vampire hunter! That shit rocks!

Never liked that one. It just didn't have any substance, and didn't have enough cheesiness and gore to win points like Dusk til Dawn or Vampires.

Rise: Blood Hunter is the best. It stars Lucy Liu as the protagonist, a reporter turned against her will who hunts down the vampires involved and kills them one by one. From a story department, it isn't anything mind blowing, same with special effects and the like, but I thought that Lucy Liu, being such a great actress, turned what might have been mediocre into a great movie.

Anyway, non-comprehensive list is non-comprehensive. The Underworld movies should have at least been on the list, if for no other reason than to acknowledge how hot Kate Beckinsale is dressed up in a catsuit and sporting a sweet pair of fangs.

I thought Nosferatu was very good, but I voted "The fact that you included Twilight makes me want to hunt you down and hurt you".

Im really really really not a fan of vampyre mythos. Id say the best two are carpenters and From dusk till dawn. Had to put carpenter ahead simply because DTD is beyond cartoonish. The more recent dracula film with Kenanunanu, was fairly good, but I went the route of the less popular.

Honestly, there all fairly bad in their own right, just something flawed with the premise of vampyres to begin with. As for twilight, your taking a bad style in vamps, and adding an equally bad style in romance novels and merging them into one. Two rancid tastes that taste poisonous together.

And Yes.. where the hell IS blade in all of this?

besides Zombies > Vampyres anyway, so its all a moot point.
