Poll: Bioware Wants Our Opinion on FemShep

I've never played a Mass Effect game, so I don't even know who FemShep is (sounds like a weird name to have). Is this literally a female version of the Main character?

Anyway, from the perspective of an outsider, I prefer 5 or 6. I lean towards 6.

Femshep = Female version of commander sheppard.

Also I chose none of them.

That's what I'm wondering. Why is she getting such a major overhaul? ShepLoo isn't getting one either now isn't he?

Anyway, I'm quite fond of 1. She really does like Natalie Portman stuck in armor. 5 As well, but I'd change her haircolour to...well anything except blonde. 6 Would do as well, but honestly, why not just stick to the established character?

Maybe they just didn't spend much time on/were unsatisfied with the original FemShep design. If I had to guess, though, could they be planning to put a reversible cover on ME3? Everything around these character designs looks remarkably like the ME3 cover mockup we saw a while back.

Fair enough, but satisfied or not, she's an established character now. To change her around so much, and apparently detract a decade or so of her age (the new designs can't be older than 20) in the process, just makes no sense. How are they going to justify that canon-wise?

Give her different, less emo-ish hair and I'd go with #2. I generally like them all, though. None of them will be one I go through the game as.

out of those, i think #3 looks the least overdone (tone, attitude, just the general feel about the pics is... odd), followed by #5, the other pics can enter the recycle bin immediately ^^

4, I really don't like the blonde one.
As far as I'm concerned the FemShep shouldn't be white (as the male is) not because of it being 'racist' but because of the the lack of non-Caucasian female leads in games at the moment.

4 looks the best (not saying hottest, but just the best drawn), but judging from the poll results - here and on Facebook - we're going to get a Femshep from the master race.

My suggestion, stop giving us presets but not letting us use the default as one of them. What if all I want to change from the default is their bloody hair colour?

This is likely to be only for an alternate box cover and to use her in marketing. I would not be remotely surprised if they merely slipped an extra sheet into the game case and left all copies with Sheploo on the front. Regardless, they have said there will be an overhaul of the creator, with new hair styles and everything. So you may very well be able to recreate the default model.

My vote goes with #5, especially since I just made a blonde Soldier. My penchant is usually for redhead but as of late I have come around to the blondes. Always nice when we know they won't fall into that horrific stereotype. I have little love for short hair and cannot stand the crew cut look, although Jack manages to pull of being bald somewhat well. Just personal preference, and for anyone claiming how can she fight like that? What does it matter? You have your Femshep and I have mine. Some people dislike exceptionally short hair. So it is better to provide options.

Why don't they just use the default Red-Head FemShep that the game defaults to in ME1 and ME2 when you start a new game?

Thats the same kind of MaleShep they use, so why not do the same for FemShep? She looks pretty good too.

Number five is the winner in my book. Thoguh number 1 gets a mentions for resembling natalie portman to a shameful degree and number six gets points for just looking like a bad ass Russian assassin.

Well, my femshep is black and the closest one to that is #4.

So... #4! Besides, her haircut is awesome.

I like 3, 4, and 5. #3 is the most similar to my Shepard, only because that hair covering one eye style that #4 has isnt even on the game otherwise I would have rolled with that because thats my favorite hairstyle on females, and I like #5 overall but I dont picture Shepard as a blonde.

Hell yes. A clean cut, practical, relatively unsexualised haircut, hard but wise face... she looks like Shephard to me, and definitely fits the voice.
