Nope I've never had any body modifications what so ever. I toyed with the idea of getting tattoos, but it just doesn't suit me. There are only 4 things I'd be willing to have carved into my flesh.

Aww, I am dissapoint. I thought we were talking Deus ex style mods....
Maybe one day I'll get a tatto, but piercings don't do anything for me. Im not really into cosmetic stuff, any body mods that i would get would require there to be a practical reason. Like robotic arm, or laser eye surgery. Cybernetic eyes. Brainchip.

Anyway, I just got my first facial piercing ever, a septum. I don't plan on getting any other facial piercings for the moment, though I do want a tattoo right below my neck eventually.
So, Escapians, do you have any body modifications? Piercings, tattoos, whatever? Why/why not? And could you show the rest of us?

That being said, I think some bod-mods definitely look good on some people (you for instance), and this thread is fascinating from an anthropological view.

I've got a few large tattoos and plan to have most of my body tattooed except for (probably(unless I come up with something amazing and have a job that'll let me do it)) my face and the manly bits. I don't do piercings because when you're six feet tall and over two hundred pounds you need to have fairly large piercings in order for them to not look out of place. A guy my size with twelve or fourteen gauge piercings looks ridiculous.
Right now I'm only at 17 tattoos but they're all large pieces. Ribs, neck, calf sleeve, chest ect. I've got my other calf sleeve planned out, a piece for my thigh, my sleeves which I've already started work on, my feet, my throat and the other side of my ribs to name a few. It helps when my girlfriend is one of the top two tattoo artists in the city (her boss being the other) and that I get all my work from her done for free.
She on the other hand has a lot more work in visible areas than I do, as does her boss. She has her face tattooed, her hands and knuckles tattooed, her ears stretched, her septum is about 10 gauge which she's going to stretch more, she had her cheeks and bridge done but she took them out and she has five piercings in her lower lip. She's also planning on getting sub-dermal implants done on her brows.
Nice to look like that and still have a career where she can make $90 an hour. Hah.

I do have the Norwegian flag on my upper right arm, also been thinking about getting the royal crest on my left.

All of the above except for scarification. It looks disgusting and is rediculously painful, scarification is crossing the line from putting up with pain for the sake of art, to just abusing your body due to desparate attention seeking.
With that out of the way I have both my ears stretched to 14mm and one tattoo on my right calve and have booked one for my other calve.
