I'm a big fan of Terry Pratchett, and other authors in the sci-fi, fantasy genre. George RR Martin is another favourite of mine, as is Robert Jordan (now deseased) and Brandon Sanderson (writing the final few Robert Jordan books, as well as the excellent Mistborn series)

If I have an interesting book to read, I will spend 1-2+ hours a day reading. I have just started reading Shadow's Edge, the second book in The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks.

I stick basically to two series right now, written by the same team of writers. I have read all of the Deathlands series up to the current book, and only missed three of The Outlanders series because it was a three-part mini-series in the line, and my brother misplaced the second book where apparently everything interesting happened.
My dad and older brother both read the books when they started years ago, and I picked up a book about four or five years ago and quickly bypassed my brother... he's still a good three years behind me for both series. However, since dad died over three years ago, I've been keeping up reading out of a tradition as he made a good friend over at the local bookstore that is glad to see that I'm taking after him. The books aren't horribly long, around 310 pages a piece (used to be 345, stupid economy), and I can get through one in about three days. Sucks that it takes them around 2-3 months to publish a new book in either series. Outside of that, I only suffer reading what is left in the bathroom (usually magazines or catalogs) when I'm taking a call in the office.

I read a new book about every 2 weeks. If I'm poor, however, I read a new book once a month.

Yeah I read alot, I just threw down about 2 hours on R.A. Salvatore's newest book. The man just makes action in a story so fun to read. The only person I can see compete with him on the level would be Mel Odom

Yup, I always have a book on the go, and always have at least one more waiting to be read.

Currently reading "Greenmantle" by John Buchan. It is the sequel to "The 39 Steps." It is very, very British; it was written at the hight of WW1, so has a bit of propaganda. Tis a good read.

I stick to mainly science fiction and fantasy, but I've read a staggering amount of books over the course of my life to date. Right now I'm reading through the new Rogue Trader core rulebook (well not right now, I got up for a moment to see what was playing on Pandora and got distracted).

I like to read Sci-fi and fantasy books, but I am also a fan of any type of historical book.

My literary interests typically run in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy areas, though I've been known to enjoy non-fiction as well, specifically history and the mythologies of various cultures. I'll read almost anything though, as long as it's written and presented well.

My favorite books at the moment are the Dresden Files and Codex Alera series, both by Jim Butcher, who is by far my favorite author.

The weird thing about my literary taste is that I cannot stand Wheel of Time or Song of Ice and Fire, which always gets me weird looks from people who know my tastes. Both series just drive me up the wall, mostly because of the retarded "here's a group, now we split it up and try to be 12 different books in one".

right now i'm on The Silmarillion...
a damn fine read. But if you've got time (and money) and if you havent read those parts already, and if you don't mind waiting, read The Children of Hurin and Gondolin lays before you read their respective chapters in The Silmarillion. They aren't perfect but by golly they're captivating and, dare I say, dandy.

I used to read a lot but I'm very picky on what books to read. I hate almost anything that isn't science fiction, fantasy, or non-fiction war related books. I'm reading a book about West Point right now.
