Well, incase Zer0 has the abillity to have 100% chance to penentrate shield as Mordecai had in the first game... Zer0 All the way in that case. And since Zer0 is kinda the sneaky guy, I'd also like to pick him for that reason too. I love sneaking around in games, assasinating people.

If Maya is Laura Bailey well then that's decided. Otherwise, Salvador all the way, dude. Gunzerker!

I will preorder the game which means I'll have access to the extra character. So I'm going with the Mechromacer.

I don't care for her but I love her sidekick:

Currently replaying BL with Lillith, who I've played every playthru for several playthrus. The phasewalk skill was brilliant in that I can leave a fight for a few seconds, regenerate health and shields before rejoining it, melee crit someone for 835% dmg as well as be anywhere on the battlefield faster than anyone else. Always (except once) came top in Moxxi's Underdome vs my soldier and hunter friends, usually by a margin. With a "Combustion Hellfire" SMG and Firefly/Mercenary mod she's an almost unstoppable force (though I think the particular gun does have a lot to do with it :-D).

The trouble now is the new siren doesn't have the stealth mechanic (but still has some cool looking stuff, including some healing and support skills). Zero has stealth, but isn't "phased" like Lillith was so (I believe) can still take (AoE?) damage while invisible. So it'll either be Zero, or Maya. I like to appear from stealth, cause untold carnage and disappear again :) Also very useful with teammates going down around the battlefield (tho apparently Maya can talent her phaselock to instantly revive fallen comrades, at range).

Saying that, it looks like they fixed the issues with Brick (sucking) in Salvadore. With dual wielding any two weapons in the game, he could well be the juggernaut of death and destruction Lillith was in the first game. I guess it comes down to how much extra damage his second gun does (100% or a different amount?), what guns his skills lean toward, how long he can keep his action skill up and compare that with the others.

most probably Maya, just because i like the sirens abilities and i pretty much only ever played as lillith in Borderlands.

but i also liked lilliths abilities to temporarily remove herself from combat, which seems like something Zero would be good for.

I used Brick mostly in the first game, so I always towered above all my friends playing other classes.

I'm going with Salvador, so now it'll be the opposite! Bro's tiny! Still, he seems the best to me. :D

No Mechromancer in the poll? I guess I understand, though. Pretty much nothing is known about her.

I hate how they changed the one class i loved to play the most. Borderland 2 Siren got nothing to do with the first game anymore. It was fun rushing straight in with her special and gunning everything down with a shotgun. reminded me of Mass Effects Vanguard class.

I played Mordecai in the last one so will go with something a bit different in this most likely Maya although I wont be getting the game for a while anyway.

I rolled Lilith in the first, and I will be rolling Maya in the second. I love my Sirens. Plus I greatly prefer to play as female characters, and being she is the only she, pretty simple choice.

Well, I played Mordecai in Borderlands and I definitely love me some sniper tactics. However, whether or not I play Zero is going to depend on his character. Mordecai had some pretty good lines, and if Zero turns out to be a Snake-Eyes like mute, it'll be a little bit of a put-off. I kind of want my character to have, well, character. So if not Zero it'll probably be Maya. I used Lilith in multiplayer and it was a lot of fun. Or, I might end up using the Mechromancer. A steampunk-ish cyborg girl who commands killer robots is far enough out in left field that I think it'd be cool.

Mordecai was my favorite by far in Borderlands, and I assume Zero is the same type of character so I guess he'll be the one I start with.
Really loved sniping. <3

Brick! Oh wait, I guess I'm going to have to go with his non-fisticuffy midget cousin, Salvador.

I was the Siren in the last game. Too hard starting off, and too easy the rest of the time.

I'm a turret guy, myself, but it seemed like everyone was being Roland. Diversity makes a good group.

It looks like everyone going to be Zer0 (who's a girl *SPOILERS*), but I never was one to be the back-stabbing assassin dirtbag.

Also, Axton looks sooo much better than Rolando.

Roland was my man in the first game, but this time I'm leaning toward Salvador since he gets bonuses with all weapons classes. Also thinking about Zero because he looks badass as hell.

I'll probably try Axton eventually but it doesn't look like the soldier class will be my primary this time around.

I have ruminated much longer than I should on this question. I always have liked being the "fast guy" when I play an FPS- Think the Scout from TF2 or that asshole running around with duel SMG's in CoD. Naturally, my mind initially flocked to Maya when the game was first announced, as she was the new Siren, and Lilith in the last game was a sonic boom of psychic death.

However, I soon came to the realization that not only was Maya a healer, but that 3 classes had different perks with regards to movement speed.

Maya gets a speed boost whenever she ran out of shields.
Salvador gets a speed boost whenever he takes damage.
Axton gets faster after killing an enemy.
Zer0 has no announced movement speed skill. However, seeing how overplayed he will be (combined with my loathing of sniping) he was out of the running from the start.

It then became a three-way run between everybody whose name doesn't end in a number. I finally settled on Axton, though, because combining his movement speed perk with the longbow turret makes an effective run n' gun build. I can zoom in and drop a turret anywhere I see fit to vent off the excess aggro.

Axton. I love turrets, and the new one looks 20% cooler than Roland's. I heard one of the upgrades that you can get for it causes the turret to create a mini-nuke when you put it down. Fucking win. Since I pre-ordered the game, maybe I'll try Mechromancer. I like the idea of summoning a badass robot to fight with you, but I'm worried she'll turn out to be one of those classes that sounds awesome when you hear about them but turns out to suck in game. Kind of like how I was really looking forward to the "Summon Faer Gorta" spell in Amalur, but the Faer Gorta that was summoned had a crippling bug-it wouldn't attack enemies 50% of the time, and may even turn on you sometimes. That's just pathetic.
