I'm pretty much solely Vladof, because no other manufacturer so far has been able to push out that much damage so quickly.

Very suprised I could find an easy answer for this, showing how much the manufactures distinguish themselves now, but I find myself using Jakobs, Torgue, and some Hyperions.

The only one I just can't really get into is Tediore. I was excited pre-launch about their explosive reload function, and thought it would be a lot of fun.
Now I just think its unnecessary and a tad annoying.

I love elemental weapons so I'm definitely gonna go with Maliwan. Jacobs has the best slogan though.

Playing as Zero so Jakobs has been my go to company for my sniper at least.
Actually, I find Hyperion sniper rifles to be much better for a dedicated sniper.
The initial sway is annoying, yes, but there's practically no recoil. In fact, when you shoot, the camera just vibrates a bit, but the cross-hair stays dead on target. It's fantastic for lining up multiple crits quickly.
Additionally, accuracy increasing effects, like from skills or badass ranks, reduces the initial sway.

Y U NO INCLUDE ATLAS?!

I usually end up with Atlas guns without noticing. They'll last me for a few levels too :D

But...
Atlas went out of business and doesn't appear in Borderlands 2.

Tediore, Or Vladof. Tediore is awesome due to the fact that it has super quick reloads by making your weapon a grenade (which can be pretty OP, seriously. I'm using a pistol right now and the only reason i'm using it is because it does the most damage out of most of my guns because of it being a grenade)

And Valdof because they shoot decently fast and have high accuracy which I like.

Also screw Dahl, I have no need for Burst fire on any of my weapons. Especially my damn snipers! It's bearable on my assault rifles but I would rather have full auto or single shot Jakobs. I just find that it recoils too much during the burst to be any good.

Dahl: Just depresses me, it has everything going for it but somehow I have yet to find a half decent Dahl AR (apart from a corrosive that I've recently ditched) and the burst fire on sniper rifles are not fun.

Hyperion: Ok, the increase in accuracy is a little counter-intuitive to my play style but I can't complain.

Vladof: Again yet to find a decent AR, but one pistol served me faithfully for several levels. (Ate through ammo although, but what could you expect for a bullet hose.)

Bandit: The surprise group for me, I currently have an elemental SMG and shotgun (both electric) which are great for taking out stalkers.

Torgue: Shotguns are crazy awesome to use, but ARs I find are not that accurate and trying to lead your shots can be an exercise in frustration.

Tediore: I am a compulsive loader so Tedore weapons are amusing and annoying to use.

Maliwan: The SMGs seem to rely on elemental damage than the actual bullet damage. But their sniper rifles are good.

Jacobs: I have a blue level pistol called 'Iron' which deals 300+ damage and has a scope. I use it allot.

In the end I have to go (at the moment) with Jakobs.

If it took more than one shot, you weren't using a Jakobs!

There have been jewels from nearly each one, but the one I recall the most would have to be Vladof. My current revolver is ridiculously powerful, and has a good mag size. Something like 327 and 24. I have yet to meet a regular enemy traveling around who can survive a full clip. The only ones that require me to reload are the large boss-like ones such as War Loaders or Constructors.

I sport my MCSteve head and Vladof Sickle skin proudly.

Tediore comes in a close second. I can keep attacking while I'm reloading my gun, and the more ammo left in the clip when reloaded, the more damage the explosion does. I had a Tediore SMG that, when I would fire one bullet from its 34mag and then reload, it dealt something between 900-1250 damage each time. And since they reload so quickly, I almost did that more than actually fire the gun, which saved me ammo.

For regular snipers there is Jakobs, for elementals there is Maliwan or Hyperion (of which I currently have a over 600 base dmg and around 100 fire with above 50% triggering chance, two rounds per shot but its a negligible downside) and Vladof (specifically corrosive)
For smg's Maliwan, highest elemental dmg you can get on smg's, least from what I have seen so far.
And Torgue for shotgun, that explosive dmg is pretty darn handy when dealing with threshers and with anything else for that matter.

Dahl is my favorite from a design standpoint but Tediore always seemed more useful. I routinely just fired a single round and threw the gun at things.

But, if I'm honest, the answer is simple: Jacob. They aren't flashy. At any given level there are dozens of better options. But simple white Jacobs that were good enough to get the job done dropped far more often than anyone else.

And, seriously, I'm convinced my game has some bias against Vladof. I only recall using such a weapon once - a green sniper rifle. While brutally effective at the time, it was quickly discarded as I could ill afford to have to hose things with sniper rounds.

I mainly use Maliwan, Hyperion and Tediore, but I generally use whatever I can find that is useful

I've found that for my play style as Maya the Hyperion SMGs are really nice. Get a Cat class mod to improve SMG damage, get the skill for larger magazines and equip a Hyperion SMG... Then just run in there and keep the trigger down. After the fist 7-8 bullets you are firing with perfect accuracy even while on the move and you've got at least 30 bullets to spew out before reloading.

On the other hand it seems Jakobs are better for sniper rifles and ARs are a mix up between Vladof and Bandit for me.

I play Zero so Jakobs is my best friend, I use a Jakobs Sniper Rifle and Revolver, a rocket launcher from that manufacturer where when you reload you throw the gun and it explodes, its like having an extra rocket per clip. As well as a shotgun with 2 powerful shots per clip and a fast reload time from exploding reload manufacturer.

Since the sniper rifle and revolver fire rates have been increased by a lot since the first Borderlands, Jakobs just kicks all the other manufacturers asses really. At the moment my sniper rifle has a 50% chance to apply slag and has a three shot burst when zoomed so it tears the tougher enemies apart, I use the revolver for enemies that don't need quite so much firepower to take down.

My favs are Torque and Maliwan.

Torque becuase I have a Torque shotgun that I've been using to blow the dogshit out of everything but Loaders for the past 3 levels.

Maliwan because they make corrosive weapons and corrosive weapons have assisted greatly in my war on Loaders.

I find Hyperion weapons to be the most reliable, with Jakobs in close second.
Oddly, I've never once used a Torque weapon for a long period of time. I've never found one that's useful.
The same thing happened in the first game, actually.
