I'll just assume the question was supposed to be "Who is your favourite pony other than the greatest equine who has ever lived?", otherwise the poll would be pretty pointless.
So, I'll go with Rarity, the only pony with class. She also happens to be the pony I least expected to like when I first began watching, oddly enough.

The post itself attracted a long discussion on 4Chan's cartoon board which led to more exposure of the show, and an increased fandom. Many of the first fans were only fans of this show ironically, but longer lasting fans actually found the show to be quite entertaining.
The show itself is reminiscent in terms of jokes to early seasons of Spongbob Squarepants; i.e. that the jokes can be understood by adults, but there are double entendre, and other adult humor bits hidden in the dialogue, jokes, and world as well.
On the Animation side, the animators really went above and beyond with the character animations. If you watch a show and don't focus on what's going on, but start looking for little things, you'll notice that the ponies legs do a "squash and stretch" while walking, their hair moves back and forth with their head in an appropriate manner, and the reaction faces are just fantastic.
So in short, a lot of people really like this show because the jokes are solid, the stories are fun, and the animation is great.
Plus, it's a positive sign that animation for girls doesn't have to suck.

My avatar is the result of a request so likewise my would be unique aswell. While it's ture I could of asked for a specific Fluttershy gif avatar, all the good ones (that would look good as an nimated avatar) are had been taken and I prefer to have unique looking avatar than being a copycat.

So yeah, this might have been a better topic for the user group, seeing as how this forum has developed a bad case of "pony fatigue."
Since you asked though, Fluttershy is my favorite. Her adorable little squeaks and squeals make me go "D'aaaaaaaaaaw." Pinkie Pie is a close second, though.
I'll have to go with Rarity. I thought she would end up being that stereotypical obnoxious fashion slave that I see in almost every other show, but instead I ended up respecting her for her passion in art and lady manner that she doesn't forget. Also, my favourite episodes are Suited for Success and A Dog and Pony Show.
Second probably goes to Twilight Sparkle because she reminds me of Lisa from The Simpsons, just really well thought out intelligent responses she sometimes makes. However, shes had some of the worst parts in the show as well, like looking through her sleepover book for falling trees during a crisis.

But recently, after re-wathcing season 1 (again) and watching the new season, i have realized that there is not a single thing i don't love about Pinkie Pie.

But Fluttershy is still a close second.
This article gives a good idea of why anyone, regardless of age or gender, might like MLP: FiM. Also, the author accepts that it's not for everyone, and keeps to logical arguments: Universal themes, relatable characters, great animation, good voice acting, etc.
I like it, because instead of being defensive, or concluding that ppl who don't like MLP are idiots, this article calmly explains why someone (even a grown man) might enjoy watching this show.

I'm completely sane. I can't tell if it's her personality, her appearance, or her boasting (which is worse than Trixie's). The more and more I watch her, the more I get pissed off for some reason.Freaker3 said:

Pinkie Pie is simply HILARIOUS, she breaks the fourth wall, burst in extremely catchy songs and she's always right behind you like Pepe Le Pew or a Spy.
